Username and Email — What You Need to Know
When registering at Tips.GG, you’ll be asked to choose a username and provide a valid email address.
- Your username is permanent — once it’s set, it cannot be changed. Choose something you’ll be comfortable using long-term.
- Your email must be active and regularly checked, as it will be used:
- For login links (we use passwordless login)
- To send account alerts or verification requests
- For important communication (e.g., competitions, policy updates)
If our emails bounce or go unopened for a long period, your account may be flagged or removed for inactivity.
I forgot my username — what now?
You can log in with your email address as an alternative.

Didn’t receive your welcome email?
Here are a few things to try:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Make sure your email provider isn’t blocking unknown senders (Hotmail, AOL, and corporate emails sometimes do this)
- Disable VPNs before registering — we do not allow account creation via VPN for security reasons
- Try registering again with a different email address

Why don’t I need a password?
For your security, we use a passwordless login system.
Passwords can be guessed, reused, or phished — we avoid all that with a one-time link.
Here’s how login works:
- Enter your username or email
- We’ll email you a secure login link
- Click the link within 15 minutes to log in
This link will log you in for up to two weeks on that device. No password required.
Account Suspended?
If your account was suspended, it may be due to a potential duplicate account or identity mismatch.
To maintain a fair platform, we may contact you to verify that your account is unique. In some cases, we may ask for photo ID to confirm you're not operating multiple accounts.
Once confirmed, your account will typically be reinstated.
Can I have more than one account?
No — only one account is allowed per person.
Creating multiple accounts, even after deleting one, is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent bans.
This rule exists to:
- Keep competitions fair
- Preserve the integrity of tipster rankings
- Prevent manipulation of alerts and leaderboards
If we suspect account duplication, we reserve the right to request identity verification.
Why was my account deleted?
To keep the platform fast and efficient, we periodically remove inactive accounts.
Your account may be deleted if:
- You haven’t logged in for over 3 months
- We’ve sent two email reminders and received no response
- Your email address bounced or became unreachable
To avoid losing your account, use an email you actively monitor.
Why do you need my email?
We use your email for important functions:
- Login authentication (passwordless access)
- Account recovery and security alerts
- Notifications for predictions, competitions, and bonuses (customizable)
- Inactive account management (to help keep the site fast)
