Once more, Tadej Pogacar has made history in the world of riding. The Slovenian superstar crossed the finish line on the Champs-Élysées draped in yellow, making him the most dangerous rider in the race today. It was his fourth Tour de France title in six years.
Even though there were tough tests on the Tour, especially from rival and 2022 and 2023 champion Jonas Vingegaard, Pogacar’s consistency and dominance were still clear. Speaking to L’Équipe, Pogacar further revealed long-term reflections. “I’m not thinking about stopping right now, but I also don’t think I’ll continue for a very long time,” he said – words that signal a potential timeline for cycling’s brightest star to dim.

Despite these hints at retirement, Pogacar isn’t closing the chapter just yet. “The Los Angeles Olympics are one of my goals, which leads me to continue for the next three years,” he explained, anchoring his competitive future to a specific landmark in global sport.
But the Slovenian was quick to return to the present. “If I continue like this, with such a strong and supportive team, I’m not too concerned about the future. I prefer to enjoy the moment,” he concluded – an echo of maturity and gratitude from a rider who has already given fans so many unforgettable moments.
