North American cybersports organization Cloud9 published a tweet with the so-called “announcement of the announcement”. The tweet shows a GIF animation with the date 9.8.21.

Noone knows what exactly C9 is supposed to announce on September 8. Fans in the comments suggested that it could be the announcement of a new Call of Duty lineup, but the organization responded later:

Perhaps in this way twitter-guy of Cloud9 hints at the announcement of the CoD lineup. Fan theories under the tweet were ranged from Rocked League to sarcastic tweets about the Halo lineup.
Also C9 doesn’t have a CS:GO lineup at the moment since March 2021. Perhaps they are preparing a triumphant return to the discipline. After all, Cloud9 made history as Major champions.
There is a theory that Cloud9 could sign a Dota2 lineup in anticipation of the upcoming The International 10, especially since they have done so before. So, C9 bosses may turn their attention to two North American teams without an organization at TI10 – Quincy Crew and Undying.
