The PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 kicks off its group stage on August 6 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, marking the first time this tournament has been staged outside Saudi Arabia. Originally planned for Riyadh, the event was relocated to Paris on May 20. Thirty-two teams from across the globe will contest eleven days of matches for a total prize pool of $3,025,000 USD, with the Grand Finals wrapping up on August 16.
The field is locked as of August 5 and the draw is published. This is the mid-season international showpiece of the 2026 PUBG Mobile competitive calendar, and it sits inside the broader Esports World Cup ecosystem, which means the stakes extend well beyond the tournament’s own prize money. We think this is shaping up to be the most consequential PMWC yet.
Where the $3,025,000 Goes
The money is distributed across all three stages rather than concentrated at the top, with a separate individual award attached to the final. Every team that competes receives a payment, including the six sides eliminated after the Group Stage.

PMGC Points and Club Championship Points
Beyond prize money, the top eight finishers at the Grand Finals earn PMGC Points toward the end-of-year PUBG Mobile Global Championship. The winner receives 130 PMGC Points, second place gets 85, third takes 55, and the scale continues down to 15 for eighth place. Finishing ninth or below yields no PMGC Points at all.
Club Championship Points from the Esports World Cup follow the same top-eight cutoff: 1,000 for first, 750 for second, 500 for third, 300 for fourth, and 200 through 50 for fifth through eighth. This is where the group stage draw becomes a business story.
The $30 Million Club Championship Race Running Underneath
The Esports World Cup carries a $75 million total prize pool, of which $30 million is set aside for the Club Championship, the season-long standings that reward the best-performing organisation across all 25 events. The overall winner takes $7 million. A club needs at least two top-eight results to appear on the board, and at least one tournament win before it can claim the championship.
As of the official Club Championship ranking after Week 4:
| Rank | Club | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Team Falcons | 2,400 |
| 2 | Natus Vincere | 2,250 |
| 3 | Virtus.pro | 2,000 |
| 4 | All Gamers | 1,800 |
| 5 | Team Vitality | 1,800 |
Two of those five clubs are in this field. All Gamers competes in Group A under the AG.AL banner. Team Vitality appears in Group B, fielding the Bigetron by Vitality roster the French organisation acquired in 2025. Team Falcons, Natus Vincere, and Virtus.pro are not in either group, meaning the three clubs above them cannot add points here. All Gamers has still not won an event, which is the one criterion standing between them and Club Championship eligibility. A PMWC title would fix that immediately.
The precedent is exact. Yangon Galacticos won the 2025 edition and collected 1,000 Club Championship Points, briefly placing the Burmese outsiders above Gaimin Gladiators, Fnatic, T1, Rex Regum Qeon, and Natus Vincere in the standings. Thirty-one of the 32 teams qualified through regional pathways. Reigning champions Yangon Galacticos received a direct invitation. Recent winners are scattered across both groups: 4Thrives Esports arrive off a PMGO 2026 Season 1 title, GodLike Esports qualified as BMPS 2026 champions, and Alpha7 Esports carry both the reigning PMGC 2025 crown and the distinction of winning the inaugural PUBG Mobile World Cup in 2024.
The PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 is a tournament where a single late-game rotation or a clutch knock can mean the difference between a $500,000 first-place finish and an early flight home. With the Club Championship race adding another layer of stakes for All Gamers and Team Vitality, these group stage matches carry weight that extends far beyond Paris. We’ll be covering results and analysis throughout the event. If you plan to place wagers on any of the action, please gamble responsibly and make sure you understand your rights as a player.
