WWE Money in the Bank 2026: Results & Analysis

11.10.2026, 11:39

WWE Money in the Bank 2026 took place on Saturday, October 10, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, delivering a night of surprising booking decisions, dramatic ladder match moments and a Women’s World Championship result that could reshape the division. Some outcomes followed the direction WWE had been building for weeks, while others raised new questions about where the company’s biggest storylines are heading. It was also a difficult night for the Tips.GG virtual bankroll.

From the two Money in the Bank contracts to the world title matches and the ongoing conflict involving The Vision, there is plenty to unpack. Here’s what happened in New Orleans, how WWE handled its biggest rivalries and what these results could mean going forward. For the original lineup, qualification history and background to the rivalries, see our WWE Money in the Bank 2026 full match card and preview.

Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight Result: Reigns Retains the World Heavyweight Championship

Result: Roman Reigns defeated LA Knight to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

LA Knight came closer to winning than the overwhelming betting odds suggested. He countered a Spear into a BFT for a near-fall, survived Reigns’ own finisher and drove the champion through the announce table. Reigns eventually prevailed after multiple Superman Punches and a final Spear.

Our prediction that Reigns would retain proved correct, as did our expectation that the wider Bloodline conflict would continue without requiring a title change. The 946 appeared after the match, triggering a confrontation with The Usos and Solo Sikoa that developed into a brawl.

The result keeps Reigns’ championship reign intact while leaving his faction storyline unresolved. Knight lost, but his performance and the crowd’s support gave WWE reasons to keep him relevant in the world title picture.

Tips.GG Prediction: Correct. Virtual Bet: $0.

Women’s Money in the Bank 2026 Results: Tiffany Stratton Wins the Briefcase

Result: Tiffany Stratton defeated Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne.

Stratton secured her second Money in the Bank contract, following her previous victory in 2024. Lash Legend was involved in the decisive moments, but Stratton used the briefcase to knock her off the ladder before retrieving it herself.

That result raises an interesting booking question. Stratton has already enjoyed a successful run as Ms. Money in the Bank, cashing in her first contract against Nia Jax in January 2025. Another victory gives her a familiar opportunity rather than introducing a first-time briefcase holder.

Her friendship with current WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green offers one possible direction, but the timing deserves attention. Their alliance only began taking shape in April 2026, when Stratton reluctantly accepted Green’s help. They started teaming together in June, roughly four months before this event. Both have since been presented as babyfaces, although Tiffany’s initial dismissive attitude toward Chelsea retained some of her trademark arrogance.

There is already history between them. At Money in the Bank 2024, Stratton knocked Green off a ladder through two tables before claiming her first contract. At SummerSlam on August 2, 2026, Green returned the favor by tipping over Stratton’s ladder as Tiffany approached the suspended championship. Green went on to win the Interim WWE Women’s Title.

These incidents provide material for a rivalry, but the friendship itself is still relatively new. Turning the briefcase into an immediate betrayal could feel premature when the audience has only recently watched Stratton move from rejecting Green’s friendship to embracing it. A longer period of cooperation might give a future split greater emotional weight.

None of this guarantees that Stratton will cash in against Chelsea. Liv Morgan also holds a world championship, and the title picture could change before the contract is used. For now, WWE has an established winner with several possible directions, although choosing Stratton means passing over an opportunity to elevate a new briefcase holder such as Lash Legend.

Tips.GG Prediction: Lash Legend. Virtual Bet: $200 lost.

Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed Result: Femi Overcomes The Vision

Result: Oba Femi defeated Bronson Reed by pinfall.

This match followed the central logic of our prediction. Reed received assistance from The Vision, and the interference was significant. Logan Paul was ejected, Maxxine Dupri supplied brass knuckles, and Reed struck Femi twice before connecting with a Tsunami.

Even that combination failed. Femi kicked out, fought back against Austin Theory and eventually finished Reed with the Fall From Grace.

WWE once again reinforced Femi’s presentation as a wrestler capable of surviving overwhelming odds. Our reasoning was correct, although we had declined to risk virtual money at the short pre-event price of 1.25.

The victory may also lead somewhere bigger. During the post-show, Femi directly called out World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns. After beating Reed despite The Vision’s interference, he has an additional reason to demand a place in the world championship picture.

Tips.GG Prediction: Correct. Virtual Bet: $0.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan Result: Liv Wins the Women’s World Title

Result: Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch to become Women’s World Champion.

This was our largest virtual selection, backed by the expectation that WWE would give Vaquer more time with a championship she had only recently regained. Instead, the company returned the title to Morgan.

The finish exploited the risks of a Triple Threat Match. Vaquer sent Lynch through a table with a Superkick, but Morgan capitalized on the champion’s distraction, hit Oblivion and pinned Vaquer to reclaim the title.

We underestimated WWE’s willingness to reverse the recent title change. Vaquer had a plausible reason to retain, but that reasoning did not outweigh Morgan’s continued importance to the championship storyline. The result also protected Lynch from taking the deciding fall.

For our virtual bankroll, this was the most expensive miss of the night: $300 lost on a 1.33 favorite.

Tips.GG Prediction: Stephanie Vaquer. Virtual Bet: $300 lost.

Men’s Money in the Bank 2026 Results: Penta Wins the Briefcase

Result: Penta defeated Bron Breakker, Kevin Owens, CM Punk, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans.

Bron Breakker dominated significant portions of the match, while the rivalry between Kevin Owens and CM Punk repeatedly occupied both competitors. In the final sequence, Penta delivered a Mexican Destroyer from a ladder onto another ladder, leaving Breakker down long enough to retrieve the briefcase.

Our reasoning for Owens centered on his existing championship conflict with Sami Zayn. The contract could have changed the balance of power in that rivalry immediately. WWE instead chose Penta, whose next championship direction is less clearly established.

There is a legitimate storytelling challenge here. Penta is presented as a babyface, while Money in the Bank often generates its greatest tension through the possibility of an opportunistic cash-in against an exhausted or vulnerable champion. Such tactics would sit less naturally with his current character. Announcing a challenge in advance would preserve that presentation, but it would also remove some of the contract’s trademark unpredictability.

WWE Money in the Bank 2026 event

Penta’s spectacular offense and connection with the audience are not in question. The uncertainty concerns the story surrounding his opportunity. Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn are possible championship targets, but neither rivalry currently provides the same immediate narrative foundation that Owens had with Zayn.

After the event, Penta teased a surprise and warned the champions to watch their backs without committing to a particular opponent. WWE may develop a convincing direction for him, but the briefcase itself does not yet answer how his character will evolve.

That unpredictability is also why we would remain cautious about wagering on this result even with hindsight. The eventual winners of both ladder matches were defensible creative choices, but neither followed the strongest storyline argument in our pre-event analysis.

Tips.GG Prediction: Kevin Owens. Virtual Bet: $250 lost.

Tips.GG Virtual Bankroll: Money in the Bank 2026 Results

We began Money in the Bank 2026 with $1,000 in virtual funds and committed $750 across three selections. None won, leaving our bankroll at $250. For readers unfamiliar with wrestling betting markets, our How to Bet on WWE guide explains how odds and wagers on scripted wrestling work.

Match Our Prediction Actual Winner Stake Net Result
Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight Roman Reigns Roman Reigns $0 $0
Women’s MITB Lash Legend Tiffany Stratton $200 -$200
Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed Oba Femi Oba Femi $0 $0
Women’s World Title Stephanie Vaquer Liv Morgan $300 -$300
Men’s MITB Kevin Owens Penta $250 -$250
Total 2 of 5 correct — $750 -$750

Match results and finishes verified against WWE’s official Money in the Bank 2026 results.

Our overall prediction accuracy was 40%, but the more important financial result is that we lost all three virtual bets. That’s a 75% reduction in the starting bankroll, with no winning returns to offset the losses.

The experiment continues with the remaining $250 rather than a reset to $1,000. That smaller balance will necessarily limit our stakes at the next WWE event.

Money in the Bank demonstrated the difference between identifying a plausible booking direction and predicting the decision WWE ultimately makes. Our reasoning correctly anticipated the victories of Reigns and Femi, but our three funded selections failed. We’ll carry both the results and the reduced bankroll into the next round of predictions.
