In a 32-team tournament with a gruelling bracket, that inconsistency could cost them a round they can’t afford to lose. We still rate them as the most dangerous team in the draw.

Falcons

Falcons are the reigning IEM Cologne Major 2026 champions after beating FURIA 3-0 in the grand final. karrigan claimed his second Major title as IGL, and m0NESY took home the tournament MVP award. For NiKo, the Cologne trophy was his first Major win. The roster of karrigan, NiKo, TeSeS, m0NESY, and kyousuke has been locked since April, giving them more practice time together than most competitors had before the Major.

Falcons also topped the HLTV world ranking as of August 10 and finished as the most-watched CS2 team in the first half of 2026. The EWC gives them a chance to prove the Major wasn’t a one-off. A deep run in Paris would turn their summer from a single great tournament into a genuine stretch of dominance. The knock? Consistency has never been their strong suit.
