PGL has locked in its broadcast crew for PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, and the list is about as deep as the team field. Sixteen rosters, a $1,250,000 prize pool and eight days of Counter-Strike 2 inside PGL Studios in the Romanian capital, with no live audience in the room. Spirit, Vitality, MOUZ, FURIA and Aurora headline the attendance sheet, all of them chasing VRS points ahead of the Major in Singapore.
When PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 runs
The event takes place from 24 to 31 October 2026. The Swiss group stage occupies the first five days, 24 to 28 October, and the playoff bracket fills the final three, 29 to 31 October. Both the grand final and the third place decider land on the closing day.
The broadcast team
Two desk hosts share the studio. Richard “Richard Lewis” Lewis and Pala “Pala” Gilroy Sen take the chair, with four analysts rotating beside them: Sudhen “Bleh” Wahengbam, Jacob “Pimp” Winneche, Zvonimir “Professeur” Burazin and Halvor “vENdetta” Gulestøl. James “BanKs” Banks handles interviews.
On-site casting goes to Conner “Scrawny” Girvan, Mohan “launders” Govindasamy, Harvey “Skriv” Rodgers and Neo “Ne0kai” Caine. The remote booth is stacked too, with Anders “Anders” Blume, Vince “Vince” Hill, Harry “JustHarry” Russell and Hugo “Hugo” Byron covering games away from Bucharest. Honestly, a launders and Scrawny pairing on a Bo5 grand final is reason enough to clear the evening.

Format: Swiss into single elimination
PGL sticks to the structure it has used for years. All 16 teams enter a Swiss bracket played to three wins or three losses, and every single match there is Bo3. After each round, teams are re-seeded against opponents on the same win-loss record. Three wins means a playoff spot, three losses means a flight home. Eight teams survive.
The playoff is a single-elimination bracket. Quarterfinals and semifinals stay Bo3, the grand final is Bo5, and there is a separate Bo3 third place match, which is rarer than it used to be in CS2 and gives the two losing semifinalists something concrete to play for. A champion has to clear the Swiss stage and then win three straight series.
| Stage | Dates | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Group Stage | 24–28 October 2026 | 16-team Swiss, all Bo3, top 8 advance |
| Playoffs | 29–31 October 2026 | Single elimination, Bo3 matches, Bo5 grand final, Bo3 third place match |
Why the points matter
With the Singapore Major on the horizon, a $1,250,000 studio event is one of the last meaningful chances for teams to move in the VRS standings. A deep run here reshapes seeding. An 0-3 exit in a Bo3 Swiss, where there is nowhere to hide behind a single lucky map, hurts twice as much.
Betting on the event
Full Bo3 Swiss rounds change how the markets behave compared with the Bo1 openers at other tournaments, so map handicaps and totals usually carry more value than straight moneylines on the favourites.
