The troubles in Liquid’s current lineup have been brewing for a long time now. TL’s quiet performance in 2021 left many fans questioning, and, as Stewie2k revealed in his HLTV interview, it had an impact on the players, as well. Stewie certainly didn’t mince his words in that one, considering he needed to Tweet a clarification to his interview. Otherwise, some fans found his words outright scathing towards his teammates. It is disheartening to see a beloved, long-standing org enter a series in a demotivated state.
I think you can put it together. It wasn’t the best time & with the role clashes he wasn’t able to be unleashed into his role because of conflicts with other roles. He’s the top talent in NA by far and like i said he has potential but wasn’t placed to showcase it all the time

With BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 kicking off today on the 24th of December, Team Liquid play the opening match against Team Vitality. A long-awaited matchup, but for entirely different reasons this time as Liquid’s current lineup is at its last legs, didn’t bring any surprises for the hopeful fans.
While Mirage’s start was rocky for the underdogs, Team Liquid managed to pull themselves together in the second half and deliver a bit of an answer to Vitality, although falling short at 10-16. Any faith for a brilliant last stand the fans had during Liquid’s pick was dashed by Vitality’s domineering performance on their map pick, Dust 2. Losing the first half 4-11, Team Liquid had their backs against the wall after losing both pistol rounds. Ultimately losing the match 7-16 despite NAF almost clutching the final round to deliver a triple kill and a dink, the opening day of BLAST Premier fails to bring any good news for the current TL roster.
