Leeds United are in talks over a potential move for Czech Republic international Pavel Sulc, with the club broadening its midfield targets ahead of their Premier League return.
The club has been active in the transfer market since securing promotion, though negotiations for certain targets have stalled. Leeds submitted multiple offers for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, all of which were rejected. Southampton’s fee demands also ended interest in midfielder Leo Scienza, pushing Leeds to assess alternatives.
Sulc has emerged as one of those alternatives, according to Football Insider. The attacking midfielder impressed during his time with Lyon, registering 25 goal contributions last season. He operates across multiple attacking positions, combines ball-carrying with chance creation, and gets into dangerous areas consistently — attributes that suit what Daniel Farke wants from his Premier League squad.
His performances have driven up his market value, and Leeds are not the only club watching. Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Fulham have all been linked with the Czech midfielder, meaning Leeds will likely face competition if formal talks advance.
Charles remains a priority target. Sulc and Scienza now sit alongside him as options Farke’s recruitment team continues to evaluate. Any deal for Sulc will depend on fee negotiations and how Leeds chooses to rank its midfield targets as the window progresses.
