ESL has locked in its broadcast crew for ESL Pro League Season 24, naming ten talents for the CS2 event that runs October 3-11 in Katowice, Poland. The whole season plays out on LAN this time, with the playoffs staged inside Spodek Arena, the venue most fans associate with years of IEM Katowice.
Freya “Freya” Spiers and Tres “stunna” Saranthus are the presumed picks for hosting and sideline work, although ESL’s announcement did not assign roles to anybody. That is a small detail, but it matters for a desk this size: ten people, one stage, and no public breakdown of who sits where. Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, Alex “Machine” Richardson, Janko “YNk” Paunović, Harry “JustHarry” Russell, Hugo “Hugo” Byron, Adam “Dinko” Hawthorne, Jason “moses” O’Toole and Henry “HenryG” Greer fill out the rest of the primary broadcast.
Primary Broadcast Lineup
| Talent | Name | Country |
|---|---|---|
| Freya | Freya Spiers | United Kingdom |
| stunna | Tres Saranthus | United States |
| YNk | Janko Paunović | Serbia |
| SPUNJ | Chad Burchill | Australia |
| Machine | Alex Richardson | United Kingdom |
| JustHarry | Harry Russell | United Kingdom |
| Hugo Byron | Hugo Byron | United Kingdom |
| Dinko | Adam Hawthorne | United Kingdom |
| moses | Jason O’Toole | United States |
| HenryG | Henry Greer | United Kingdom |
The observer for the primary stream is still listed as TBA.
Secondary Broadcast
Four commentators are set for the secondary stream: AllInGaming (Anthony Ferdinando), Buckethead (Donny Higgins), Ne0kai (Neo Caine) and Skriv (Harvey Rodgers). Two Americans, two Brits, and again no observer confirmed. Secondary feeds carry a lot of weight during a 16-team Swiss stage where several Bo3s overlap, so this is not filler casting, it is the crew most viewers will hear for half the matches.
Format
- Group Stage: 16-team Swiss System, all matches Bo3, top eight advance.
- Playoffs: single-elimination bracket, all matches Bo3 except the Grand Final, which is Bo5.
Every match being a Bo3 from the opening round changes the rhythm of a Swiss stage. Fewer coinflips, longer days, and a heavier load on the analyst desk than a Bo1 opening weekend would demand. We think that is part of why ESL went with a cast this deep.
What Is Still Unconfirmed
ESL has not published a stage-by-stage schedule, so the split between group play and playoffs inside the October 3-11 window remains open. A Swiss stage on October 3-7 with playoffs on October 9-11 has circulated elsewhere, but nothing in ESL’s own materials backs that up yet. Treat it as unverified. Individual talent roles are in the same boat: the names are set, the chairs are not.
Honestly, the bigger story is the full-LAN commitment. Season 24 running start to finish offline, with Spodek for the closing weekend, gives this edition a different weight than recent online-heavy seasons. The talent roster reads like a crew built for a venue that size.
Betting Angles Around EPL S24
A full Bo3 Swiss stage tends to reward map-pool reading over hot streaks, which is why we always suggest checking veto history before touching a match line. Next concrete step for fans: watch for ESL’s formal schedule drop, which should confirm both the stage dates and who takes the host chair in Katowice.
