The presidential election pits Perez against challenger Enrique Riquelme, who has courted supporters with pledges to sign Manchester City pair Rodri and Erling Haaland. Perez, the architect of the famous Galactico era, has countered with a promise to pursue a young superstar capable of matching the impact of Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaka in their prime, though he declined to name the player publicly. According to The Telegraph, Olise is the player Perez was referencing, with Madrid set to launch a formal offer as early as next Tuesday if the president is returned to office. The report notes that while Los Blancos hold genuine admiration for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Joao Neves, Olise sits at the top of their wishlist.
Additional context comes from Jose Mourinho, whose appointment at the club is reportedly tied to a Perez victory. The Portuguese was spotted in Berlin for Bayern‘s German Cup final win over Stuttgart, a detail that has fed speculation he was assessing Olise firsthand.
Bayern’s Position: Non-Negotiable
Since joining from Crystal Palace, Olise has produced the finest season of his career: 22 goals and 25 assists across all competitions. The 24-year-old French international has become one of the most complete attackers in Europe, and a strong World Cup showing with France could place him in the Ballon d’Or conversation.

Bayern, though, have no interest in selling. Honorary president Uli Hoeness has stated publicly that Olise is not available, and the club’s hierarchy backs that stance.
