Scoring over 100 points in international basketball is rare. In the 2023 FIBA World Cup, only the U.S. managed to average more than 100, and just six of 32 teams surpassed 90 per game. So Germany’s offensive eruption in FIBA EuroBasket 2025 is nothing short of exceptional.
For the third consecutive game, Germany cruised past the century mark, this time routing Lithuania 107-88 a team previously regarded as one of the stingiest defensive units in the tournament.
Franz Wagner once again showcased his all-around brilliance, tallying 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including two triples, along with seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Dennis Schroder, newly signed by the Sacramento Kings, added 26 points and six assists, while Daniel Theis went a perfect 9-for-9 from the field to finish with 22 points and six boards.

Germany’s offensive efficiency was relentless. After trailing by three midway through the first quarter, they blitzed Lithuania with a 17-2 run and never looked back. They ended the game shooting 52% from the field and 54% from beyond the arc.
“We knew it would be a tough battle”
said Isaac Bonga, the former NBA forward now playing for Partizan Belgrade.
“But our depth and versatility are showing. This group still has more gears to hit.”
For Lithuania, Rokas Jokubaitis led the scoring with 20 points, and NBA veteran Jonas Valanciunas, now with the Denver Nuggets, contributed 14.
Germany’s scoring average now stands at a staggering 106 points per game. For context, they averaged 92 en route to bronze in EuroBasket 2022, 93 during their 2023 World Cup gold-medal run, and 82.7 in last year’s Olympic campaign.
Next up for the 3-0 Germans is a Monday morning clash against Great Britain at 9:30 a.m.
