According to tz, the Nigerian international was proposed to Bayern via an English intermediary. His current club, Galatasaray Istanbul, where Osimhen has been playing since 2024, is said to be open to a sale despite his importance to the team.

A transfer would generate significant revenue for the Turkish giants. Transfermarkt currently values Osimhen at around €75 million — a sizeable fee, but one that reflects his remarkable output. The striker has scored an astonishing 57 goals in 57 appearances for Galatasaray, numbers that would instantly attract Europe’s elite.

Why Osimhen Is Open to Bayern

Those figures are performances Osimhen would likely aim to replicate in Munich. However, sporting ambition is not the only factor at play.

As reported by Sport BILD, Osimhen’s girlfriend is German, a personal detail that makes a move to the Bundesliga particularly appealing. The Galatasaray forward is also said to hold Bayern Munich in high regard and would seriously consider an offer from the German record champions.

Another key element is familiarity. Osimhen already knows the Bundesliga from his earlier spell at VfL Wolfsburg, meaning a transition to Bayern would not represent a leap into the unknown.

Eberl Shuts the Door — For Now

Despite the player’s openness, Bayern’s stance is currently clear. According to tz, sporting director Max Eberl informed Galatasaray that a transfer for Osimhen is not being considered at this stage.

Bayern have reportedly communicated to the striker’s camp that there is no immediate need for a new number nine. A rethink would only occur if Harry Kane were to leave — a scenario regarded as highly unlikely.

While Kane does have a release clause of around €65 million that could be activated in the summer, the England captain feels settled in Munich and has no intention of forcing an early exit.

Bayern’s Realistic Striker Plans

Instead of pursuing a marquee signing like Osimhen, Bayern are more likely to target a backup option for Kane. Names such as Fisnik Asllani (TSG Hoffenheim), Franculino Djú (FC Midtjylland), and Raya (Vasco da Gama) are currently being monitored.

This approach aligns with Bayern’s squad planning, especially with Nicolas Jackson expected to leave the club in the summer. For now, Osimhen remains an intriguing but unrealistic option — unless the situation around Kane changes dramatically.
