Mirage opened with B8 asserting early control, converting their T-side pistol to pressure the Danish powerhouse. Though Astralis rebounded with economic stability and tight defense, Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard’s tactical acumen and firepower offered resistance. Yet B8’s resilience surfaced repeatedly, ensuring a balanced 6-6 scoreline by the half.
The second half appeared to favor Astralis after a dominant offensive start. However, Daniil “headtr1ck” Valitov’s stunning Scout play on a scrappy buy round catalyzed a seismic shift. B8, emboldened, claimed seven of the next eight rounds and sealed their map pick with a defiant 13-10 victory.
Astralis Strikes Back: Inferno Dominance
Inferno unfolded as a gritty, back-and-forth affair dominated by force buys. Despite losing the pistol, B8 immediately responded. The round structure devolved into chaos, yet jabbi’s lurking presence in Apartments helped Astralis edge into the lead. The Danes then showcased their defensive brilliance, shutting down B8’s one-dimensional attacks to close the map 13-7, forcing a decider.
The Decider: Ancient and the Collapse of a Giant
Ancient delivered a dramatic final act. Though Astralis, led by a resurgent Nicolai “device” Reedtz, appeared the superior side early on, B8’s firepower—through Artem “kensizor” Kapran and headtr1ck—kept the score tight. Astralis surged to an 11-6 lead, seemingly cruising towards victory.

Though their T-side executions were often flawed, their heart and clutch potential shone in the decider, ensuring a place among the elite in Austin.
