StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 runs from 17 to 20 September in Barcelona, Spain, with a compact eight-team field and a $500,000 prize pool. There is no group stage. Every side drops straight into a double-elimination playoff bracket where each series is a best-of-three, and only the Grand Final stretches to a best-of-five. All published times use CEST.
The field mixes four invited heavyweights with four qualifier winners. FURIA, Vitality, MOUZ and Natus Vincere came through the global VRS route based on the July 2026 rankings. Aurora Gaming and magic claimed the two European qualifier places, MIBR won the South American slot, and NRG took North America.
Scheduling is the hidden storyline. StarSeries lands only days after FISSURE Playground 3, and FURIA, magic and MIBR are currently penciled in for both events. Vitality, MOUZ and NAVI arrive off BLAST Porto earlier in the month. Four days of best-of-threes with no rest games is brutal on tired teams, and we think fatigue will decide at least one of the four quarterfinals.

MIBR come to Barcelona with the freshest lineup of the eight. The org benched brnz4n on 25 August and signed Argentine rifler tomaszin on 28 August to complete the roster. Three weeks of practice with a new fifth against this field is a hard ask, and their opener does them no favours.
Opening day: the four quarterfinals
All four upper-bracket matches run on 17 September, back to back, starting at midday.

The Brazilian derby closing the night is the obvious headline, with FalleN facing the organisation he once carried. On paper FURIA should handle it, with KSCERATO and yuurih plus the added firepower of YEKINDAR and molodoy. Derbies are messy, though, and MIBR have nothing to lose.
NAVI against Aurora is the trap match of the day. Aurora’s all-in Turkish core of XANTARES, Wicadia and woxic around Jimpphat and kyxsan plays fast and punishes hesitation, exactly the kind of tempo that has troubled Aleksib‘s structured setups before. magic versus Vitality looks the most one-sided pairing, but AW and tenzy can win a map off anyone if the pistol rounds go their way. How the bracket unfolds
Four winners move to the semifinals on 18 September, played at 17:00 and 19:00. The four losers start their climb the same day, with Lower Bracket Round 1 at 12:00 and 14:30.
19 September is the day that decides the event. The Upper Bracket Final goes at 17:00, while the lower bracket grinds through Round 2 at 12:00 and 14:30 and Round 3 at 19:30. Teams surviving through the bottom half can play three best-of-threes in roughly 30 hours before they even reach the Lower Bracket Final.
Closing day, 20 September, opens with the Lower Bracket Final at 14:00. The winner heads straight into the Grand Final at 17:00, the only best-of-five of the tournament.

What the TipsGG desk expects
Best-of-threes from round one give the favourites cover that a single-map format would strip away, so a bracket collapse on day one is unlikely. Vitality with ZywOo remain the side to beat, and MOUZ‘s young core has the depth to reach the Upper Bracket Final. The interesting question sits lower down. A team that drops its opener and then wins three straight best-of-threes to reach the Lower Bracket Final will be running on empty by 20 September, which historically favours whoever comes out of the upper bracket rested.
NRG are the wildcard we would not write off. nitr0 and daps know how to prepare for a short LAN, hallzerk and Sonic give them two players capable of a 30-bomb, and a 12:00 start against a European roster is not the worst draw for a North American side.
