Arsenal Fear Ben White Could Be Sidelined for Over a Month
Arsenal are bracing for a significant setback as defender Ben White is feared to be out for at least a month due to a hamstring injury sustained in their recent victory over Wolves.
The Gunners are still awaiting final confirmation on the extent of White‘s injury, but initial concerns suggest he could miss between four to six weeks. The 28-year-old Englishman was forced off in the 31st minute of Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. He was replaced by Myles Lewis-Skelly. Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed post-match that the injury was suspected to be a hamstring issue.
This absence compounds Arsenal’s defensive woes ahead of a packed schedule. Gabriel Magalhaes is sidelined until the end of the year with an abductor injury sustained while playing for Brazil during the international break. Additionally, Cristhian Mosquera is ruled out until mid-January 2026 with an ankle injury.
On a positive note, William Saliba and Jurrien Timber returned to the heart of Arsenal’s defense over the weekend following their own injury struggles.
Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures include a trip to Everton in the Premier League this Saturday, followed by a Carabao Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace on 23 December. The Gunners, who are two points clear of second-placed Manchester City, will then host Brighton and Aston Villa on 27 and 30 December respectively.
