Apeks have announced that both AcilioN and chawzyyy are dropping to the bench after some very lackluster performances of late.
When the team completed the roster back in January, there were some very encouraging signs that this lineup could make a dent in the Tier 2 / Tier 3 scene but lately, the results have been subpar.
With this in mind, the organisation has decided to bench AcilioN and chawzyyy removing them from the active roster.

In a statement from the Apeks Head of Esports, Anders Kjaer had the following to say:
“It is a pity that we ended up here, but together with the players we have decided that changes are necessary. We simply ended up having the wrong composition of players. The results have not been on par with what we expect. We have learned much from the last six months and feel confident that this is the best way forward for everyone”
For now, there are no indications as to who will replace them but with CPH Flames disbanding, we may see one of the former players join this Apeks lineup.
As things stand, Apeks CSGO now looks like this:
Martin ‘STYKO‘ Styk
Joakim ‘jkaem‘ Myrbostad
Tim ‘nawwk‘ Jonasson
Asger “AcilioN” Larsen (benched)
Hugo “chawzyyy” Günther (benched)
With the team currently sitting in 44th place in the world rankings, they will be eager to get the project back on track.
