Paris Saint-Germain are set to challenge Manchester City for the signature of Malo Gusto, with Chelsea demanding around £75 million for the 23-year-old French international this summer.

City’s interest is straightforward. Matheus Nunes, primarily a midfielder, has been used as first-choice right-back for two seasons due to Rico Lewis’s inconsistency. Gusto represents a natural upgrade in that position, and reports suggest the Frenchman is open to linking up with Enzo Maresca at the Etihad.
PSG’s case is built around Hakimi’s fitness concerns in recent years and Luis Enrique’s preference for squad rotation. Gusto fits the profile of a player who can absorb minutes across a long season and challenge for a starting spot without disrupting the squad’s structure.
Chelsea’s Stance and FFP Pressure
Chelsea’s willingness to sell stems from two practical factors. The club needs to offload players to stay compliant with FFP regulations, and Gusto, valued at £75 million, is among the most sellable assets on their books.
