Female stand-in to join MIBR Academy

13.09.2021, 16:54

It was announced that a Brazilian professional CS 1.6 and CS: GO female player Bruna Marvila, known in the esports community as Bizinha, recently joined MIBR Academy team. The Brazilian organization has been under a turmoil due to the recent roster changes.

Bizinha

The 22-year-old female talent has been active on the professional scene since 2011.

Bizinha managed to earn about $10,000 of prize money during her performances for different Brazilian CS: GO teams.

Marvila joined Team One RED in 2017, a female CS: GO division of Team One, and competed for Keyd Stars Female, a subsidiary of Keyd Stars. She also played for OpTic Brasil, an OpTic Gaming sister-team, in 2018.

One of her next notable appearances was on paiN Girls team, a part of PaiN Gaming, in 2019.

She played for FURIA Esports‘ Female team since 2020 and went inactive in December.

MIBR

Bizinha then joined the legendary MIBR organization and started playing for their female squad in January 2021.

One of her best recent performances was finishing first at Grrrls League 2021: Split #1, a female Brazilian CS: GO online competition, held in February 2021.

In the final match of the first split, Marvila’s team MIBR Female managed to overcome their rivals — FURIA Esports’ Female roster.

The match ended with the 2:1 score in favor of the MIBR squad and they earned $6,473 for finishing first.

Bizinha was the in-game leader of the female squad. Her team managed to reach top3 in most of the tournaments they participated this year.

brnz4n and boltz

Marvila needed to stand-in for the MIBR Academy, because one of the members of the Academy team, Breno “brnz4n” Poletto, was transferred to the main MIBR team to replace another well-known player.

The replaced player is Ricardo Prass, known as boltz — one of the headliners of the Brazilian CS: GO scene. He was recently diagnosed with COVID-19.

brnz4n is already set as the fifth player of the team for the next event — BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021, an online CS: GO tournament where 12 world’s best teams will compete for the $150,000 prize pool. The competition starts on September 16.

BLAST Premier series

Besides brnz4n and his new MIBR team, among the BLAST event’s participants, are top CS: GO teams like Danish superstars Astralis, German organization BIG, COL and EG teams from US, FaZe Clan, mostly French lineup of G2 Esports, and Natus Vincere — the recent Intel Grand Slam and EPL champions from Ukraine and CIS.

The lineup also includes SwedishDanish roster of Ninjas in Pyjamas, multinational OG, US’ Team Liquid originating from the Netherlands, and finally, Team Vitality.

mibr brand

mibr, which stands for Made in Brazil, is one of the strongest esports brands in the world and it is especially popular in its home country.

Stylized as mibr back in the CS 1.6 days, the Brazilian team became popular in the esports community after beating Fnatic in the finals of ESWC 2006, a major $160,000 CS 1.6 event held in Paris, France.

The Academy CS: GO team, as well as the main MIBR and also MIBR Female rosters are owned by Immortals Gaming Club, an esports organization primarily known for their IMT team competing among other League of LegendsNorth American teams in one of the most prestigious LoL leagues — LCS.
