Counter-Strike 2 returns to the Esports World Cup for a third straight year, and the 2026 edition is the biggest yet. 32 teams will compete across 11 days of play in Paris, France, fighting over a record $2,000,000 prize pool. The tournament runs August 12 to 23, with the group stage at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and the playoffs finishing at Accor Arena. Tickets for the finals sold out almost immediately.
The festival left Riyadh this year due to regional conflicts, so Paris takes over as host city. Natus Vincere won the inaugural CS2 EWC in 2024, The MongolZ claimed the title in 2025, and now a stacked 32-team field gets to battle it out on French soil. Twenty-eight of the thirty-two spots were locked before the event, with the final four decided through Paris Open Qualifiers.
Outright winner odds are live at BC.Game, and we think the market is priced reasonably at the top but offers some interesting value further down the board.

Favourites Breakdown
Team Vitality (3.1)
Team Vitality sit at the top of the BC.Game outright market at 3.1. They hold the number three spot in the Valve Global Ranking and won PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 with a clean 3-0 sweep over PARIVISION. Back-to-back Major titles give them a system that has already solved most of this field twice. At this price, you’re looking at roughly a 32% implied probability, which feels about right for the most consistent team in the world over the last six months. Maybe slightly short, but hard to argue against their pedigree.
Team Spirit (3.75)
Team Spirit are first on the Valve Global Ranking as of late July. Their roster of sh1ro, magixx, tN1R, zont1x and donk has been terrifying all year, and donk’s 2.27 rating across Cologne Stage 2 made every other rifler on the planet look pedestrian. Spirit reached the IEM Cologne Major playoffs before Falcons ended their run. At 3.75, the market prices them as the second most likely winner. We think that gap between them and Vitality is fair given that Spirit have been slightly less consistent in finals, but the raw talent ceiling on this roster is arguably the highest in the tournament.
Team Falcons (4.0)
Team Falcons won the IEM Cologne Major 2026, beating FURIA 3-0 in the grand final. karrigan picked up a second Major title as IGL, and m0NESY earned tournament MVP. Their roster of karrigan, NiKo, TeSeS, m0NESY and kyousuke was locked back in April, which means they’ve had more time to build chemistry than most of the field. Falcons were also the most watched CS2 team in the first half of 2026. At 4.0, this is the team we’d honestly look at first. A Major champion priced as the third favourite feels like a spot where the market might be undervaluing recent form.
FURIA Esports and Natus Vincere (8.0)
FURIA and Natus Vincere round out the current top five in world rankings. Both are priced at 8.0 on BC.Game. NAVI won this event in 2024 and know how to peak for the EWC, but their 2026 season has been a step behind the top three. FURIA made the Cologne Major grand final and lost 0-3 to Falcons, so the talent is there even if the ceiling question remains. At 8.0, both represent reasonable each-way value if you believe the gap between the top three and the rest is smaller than the odds suggest.
Where the Value Sits
The 8.0 to 18.0 range is where things get interesting for bettors willing to take on more risk. MOUZ at 14.0 and FaZe Clan at 18.0 both have realistic paths through a double-elimination group stage, and a single hot series in the playoffs can change everything in CS2. Aurora Gaming at 18.0 is another name worth monitoring as the event approaches. If you’re new to sports betting, these longer-priced teams can be appealing but carry significant risk.
G2 Esports, FUT Esports and 9z Team are all priced at 26.0. For G2 specifically, that price looks generous if their roster clicks during the group stage, though they haven’t shown the consistency this year to justify a confident recommendation. We’d maybe keep an eye on them as a small-stake flier rather than a serious outright pick.
Defending champion The MongolZ at 50.0 is a curiosity. They won this event last year and clearly know how to perform in this specific tournament environment. The long odds reflect a drop in form during 2026, but writing off a defending champion at 50-to-1 feels like the kind of thing that could look very silly in hindsight. Betting Tips for CS2 EWC 2026
The biggest mistake in CS2 outright betting is backing team names without checking map pool depth, recent LAN results and roster stability. A team that looks strong on ranking alone can be vulnerable in a double-elimination group if the opening draw or veto pool works against them. Falcons and Spirit both have deep map pools right now, which is a genuine advantage in a format that could require five or six different maps across the group stage.
Travel and preparation time matter too. Teams that qualified early and had stable rosters through the summer will have an edge over those who scraped through the Last Chance Qualifier. Keep that in mind when comparing teams priced similarly on BC.Game.
We think the outright market is well-formed at the top. Vitality, Spirit and Falcons are the three most likely winners by a clear margin, and the odds reflect that. The value play, in our view, is Team Falcons at 4.0 given their Major win, settled roster and deep map pool. If you want a longer shot, MOUZ at 14.0 or FaZe Clan at 18.0 both have the talent to make a deep run if the bracket opens up for them.
