Marcelo “coldzera” David, a 26-year-old legendary Brazilian CS: GO player, who was twice crowned as the best player in the world by HLTV in 2016 and 2017, joined North American CS: GO team Complexity Gaming.

coldzera managed to win over $1,000,000 of prize money during his professional Counter-Strike career. One of his first serious teams was Luminosity, then the Brazilian CS: GO squad was controversially signed by SK Gaming, one of the most legendary organizations from Germany, and played for MIBR and FaZe Clan. Marcelo went inactive in 2021.
David won one of the biggest CS: GO tournaments to date, MLG Major Championship: Columbus 2016 and $500,000, by beating Ukraine’s Na’Vi with his Luminosity team with the 2:0 score in the final match.
He then won ESL One Series tournament and $500,000 at ESL One: Cologne 2016, when his team SK Gaming defeated Team Liquid 2:0 in the finals of the NA competition.
One of Marcelo’s most recent big results was winning one of the BLAST Premier events — BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2019 tournament with FaZe Clan, defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas from Sweden 2:0 in the finals and earning the prize of $125,000.
coldzera’s new team recently had some serious problems with the 5th player position.
k0nfig
One of the Complexity’s players, Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke, managed to break his wrist. The team was actively looking for a replacement.
The unpleasant incident happened in August, while Wienecke was traveling.
The 24-year-old Dane is said to remain on a sick leave for quite some time, at least one month or even more.
During his professional CS: GO career, k0nfig played for various esports organizations, such as Reason Gaming from United Kingdom, SK Gaming, Copenhagen Wolves, a CS: GO team from Denmark disbanded in 2016, US-based Team Dignitas, North and OpTic Gaming.
Wienecke’s biggest recent achievement was taking first place at BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals and $335,000 prize money, where his COL defeated Team Vitality from France 2:1 in the grand finals of the event.
NaToSaphiX
k0nfig was previously replaced by Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen, who is a professional CS: GO player, as well as a popular Twitch streamer, content maker and YouTuber.
NaToSaphiX played as a stand in for Complexity Gaming at the most recent ESL Pro League series tournament — ESL Pro League Season 14, in the game against ForZe in August, where the US organization lost the match with the 1:2 score.
In the game against one the top Russian CS: GO teams, Sillassen did not impress with the 0.82 rating.
coldzera will replace NaToSaphiX in the COL’s lineup.
Complexity’s situation
Complexity’s CS: GO roster have big plans for the recent events. The team will compete in the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters series tournament, IEM in Fall 2021, in the effort of qualifying for the PGL Major, which is rumored to be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
There were also previously some rumors in the CS: GO community that colzdera was going to sign a deal with Team Liquid to reunite with his former teammate Gabriel Toledo, known as FalleN.
Team Liquid rumors
Steve Perino, who is the general manager for the NA CS: GO team, had to step in to comment on the situation. He stated that Michael “Grim” Vince, who was thought to be replaced, will stay on the roster in the near future.
Team Liquid is a prominent multigaming esports organization, which was founded in 2000. It started in the Netherlands and originates from an online community from the early years of competitive StarCraft: Brood War.
