BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 group stage continues. Two groups already finished in their performance. The winners of Groups A and B are Vitality and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Group C today gave us an entertaining match. Natus Vincere played vs OG and FaZe Clan fought vs Complexity.
Na’Vi vs OG
The series began with a OG’s pick – the map Overpass. Natus Vincere started with a confident series of rounds and anihilated their opponents in the first half. OG looked scattered, running one by one on different locations and positions, getting bombarded by Na’Vi players. The first half ended 11:4. Next, Na’Vi took the pistol round, allowing them to finish the game with a smashing score of 16:4.
Dust 2 was the second map of the confrontation. There, OG managed to put up a fight against Na’Vi and even once took the lead in the second half. OG played several quality rounds for the CT side. The score in the game was very close all the time, the teams maintained an iron parity. The fate of this match was not clear until the last moment, but OG found the strength to win the most important round, after which Na’Vi experienced problems with the economy. The game ended with a score of 16:13 in favor of OG.
Decider determined Mirage to be the last map in this match. The Ukrainian team traditionally looked good on this map. In the first half OG could not provide proper defense to Na’Vi and lost with a score of 11:4. Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev distinguished with a powerful game and won some rounds almost solo. OG tried to give battle in the second half and took 4 more rounds, however the reserve rounds taken by Na’Vi earlier was enough to close the game with a score of 16:8. Na’Vi won the series with a score of 2:1.
FaZe Clan vs Complexity Gaming
Nuke was Complexity Gaming’s pick and the first map of the series. The game showed that Complexity is adept at handling positions on this map and has home runs in their arsenal. FaZe Clan snapped back and even took the economic round with a simple solution – to rush A. However, overall FaZe Clan attack was uncertain. Complexity showed that they clearly know how to play the map Nuke, they won with a score of 16:8
FaZe Clan chose the most comfortable map for themselves – Ancient. It would seem that FaZe should confidently outplay their opponents, choosing this map. Complexity really hammered with FaZe in the first half, ending with a score of 8:7 for the T-side. Complexity outplayed their opponents in the second half thanks to good positioning. Marcelo “coldzera” David played some phenomenal rounds. The game came down to an extra rounds and a 15:15 score. In the end, Complexity was stronger, closing out the series in extra rounds 2:1.
