The North American FPS-genre legend Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella is parting ways with 100Thieves’ Valorant branch. Most known after his long-standing performance under Team Liquid’s banner in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the 26-year-old player confirmed his departure from the 100T brand on 8th of December.
As we continue to reshape our VALORANT roster for the future, we are announcing the transfer of @nitr0 from 100 Thieves.

First making his name known after rallying Team Liquid’s CS:GO roster to victory as the in-game leader since 2015, the athlete pulled off an ambitious discipline swap to Valorant in August 2020. As nitr0 parts ways with his first Valorant team, 100T, the pro’s future remains muddy: some even rumor that he made a decision to return to his alma mater.
Since this move coincides with Team Liquid CS:GO squad’s upcoming roster changes caused by their mediocre showing in 2021, these rumors might even have some basis. The NA IGL’s homecoming isn’t off the cards according to a report by Upcomer. We all remember Team Liquid’s incredible performance during the 2019 CS:GO season, it is fair to point out that nitr0’s contribution as an in-game leader to such brilliant victories shouldn’t be overlooked. As the team struggled to repeat these results after nitr0’s departure, the organization might pick up the athlete again in their upcoming roster reformation of 2022.
After all, we all know Team Liquid’s knack for scouting talents and respecting their contributions.
