Liam Delap Signs for Nottingham Forest in Reported Club-Record £45M Deal

Nottingham Forest have secured Liam Delap on a five-year contract from Chelsea, with the move reported as a club-record transfer. Financial terms were not officially disclosed, but British media report a £45 million ($61.08 million) fee for the 23-year-old forward, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.

The deal surpasses Forest’s previous record, which was set when they signed Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for £37.5 million last year.

At Stamford Bridge, Delap was part of the Club World Cup-winning squad but could not hold down a starting position, hampered by injuries and inconsistent form. He managed three goals in 47 appearances across all competitions.
