The Best Awards: FIFA’s Annual Honors
FIFA’s The Best Awards celebrate the top performers in men’s and women’s football, recognizing players, goalkeepers, and coaches for their excellence on and off the pitch. The awards span achievements from August 11, 2024, to August 2, 2025, with winners determined by a global jury.
Selection Process
The nominations are compiled by FIFA and football stakeholders, then reviewed by experts. The shortlist is published on FIFA’s website. The winners are selected by an international jury, including national team coaches, captains, specialist journalists, and fans registered on FIFA’s platform.
Each voting group—coaches, captains, journalists, and fans—holds equal weight, contributing a quarter of the total votes. Voters select their top three candidates in each category, with points awarded based on their rankings: five points for first place, three for second, and one for third.
