BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021 | Copenhagen is in full steam with its 8 participant teams clashing for $425 000 in the prize pool and a spot in the World Final 2021. As the year’s penultimate event graces the fans with striking and memorable moments, unfortunately, not everything is sunshine and rainbows in the esports world.
Most recently, Duncan “Thorin” Shields tweeted a scathing message addressing the crowd quality of the event. We all know how important the crowd’s support can be for the athletes, and witnessing absolute cemetery-tier silence after a 1 v 4 clutch while your opponents hear a lion’s roar after an anti-eco frag is not a good look.
However, it doesn’t end here. The crowd’s hearts are fickle, and you can’t force the fans to cheer for a team they want their favorites to beat, yet one behavior is entirely inexcusable: crowd cheating. Unfortunately, we had this one at the Fall Finals, as well:

Thankfully, the players are wearing active noise-canceling headphones which should minimize the effects of possible crowd cheating, but these measures are not 100% foolproof.
Last but not least, Navi and Heroic fans were left bewildered as the long-anticipated match got cold-shouldered by the Danish fans. You wouldn’t distinguish the battle of two of the best teams in the world from a B-tier matchup since the stadium was left half-empty.
