With the biggest fight of his career just days away, Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) is firing on all cylinders. The IBF heavyweight titleholder has one goal in mind: dethrone Oleksandr Usyk and walk out of Wembley as the undisputed king.
“You’ve changed, haven’t you? Tell us what’s different.”
“Right now, I just want to keep moving forward. They’ve written their script — but I’m about to write my own. I’m taking those belts. I will become THAT guy. The man.”
Dubois knows what’s on the line — and he’s already made history once inside Wembley’s hallowed ground. It was there, in a brutal collision, that a single punch from Anthony Joshua changed his trajectory. Now, he’s back to flip the script once more.
“Does that moment give you confidence heading into Saturday?”
“You know what? I take confidence from the grind. From what I’ve done in the gym. The shots I’ve thrown in sparring — all that’s built up in me. Now it’s time to unleash.”
The rematch between Dubois and Usyk goes down on July 19. And if Dubois is right — if his fists tell the story he’s been writing — this heavyweight chapter could end with a British roar under the Wembley lights.
