Out of the 23 teams participating, 4 came from the closed qualifier: Into The Breach, Forward Gaming, Nexus Gaming and VoyVoda. Those 4 teams defeated several others on the closed qualifier, that took place in the first 2 weeks of February, with all invited teams from the organization, and 16 teams went head to head in a double elimination bracket, with all matches being BO3, and with second chances, meaning that 2 losses will get you out of the competition, and 4 teams out of these 16 were qualified, 2 without a single loss, and 2 from the lower bracket with just a single loss in this competition.
And out of the 23 total participating teams, 16 are in the first elimination phase, 4 that we have just talked about, coming from the closed qualifier, plus 12 invited teams: 00 Prospects, GenOne, Illuminar, K23, Letuscook, Masonic, Monte, MOUZ NXT, Partizan, Sangal, Sinners and Tricked. All these 16 teams and are divided in 4 groups of 4 teams each, in a double elimination format. This means that in each group, out of 4 teams, 2 will be eliminated and 2 will advance into playoffs stage, and remembering that in each group, the opening matches are BO1, but the following matches are BO3. The winners from opening matches will face each other on the Winner´s match, where it will be already decider the leader of the group that will be qualified for the playoffs and the team that will stay group leader. The losers from the opening matches will face each other in the elimination match, and the loser will be the first eliminated from the group while the winner will face the loser from Winner´s match in a decider match, and the winner from that match will be the second team qualified, and the loser will be eliminated. In total, 8 teams will be qualified into the playoffs stage, where those 8 teams will face 8 invited high seed teams: 500, 9INE, Copenhagen Flames, Endpoint, Godsent, HEET and Game Legion. Each and every single one of the high seed invited teams will face a single and respective team from the group stage.
Every single team that has qualified through the group stage, will face an invited team, theoretically stronger, and that will be a single elimination bracket, you lose, you are out from the competition. The winner´s from round 1 from playoffs will advance into the quarterfinals, and those winners will advance through the semifinals until we reach the grand finals, and the ultimate winner will win the biggest prize of 20.000 dollars. The last winners from Season 6 were Copenhagen Flames, that at that time beat K23 on the grand finals.
