Recap of the final day
HR vs B8
The last day of the tournament was marked by the final of the lower bracket, where B8 fought with HellRaisers for the Grand Finals. Both teams played with substitutions. Andrii “ALLWAYSWANNAFLY” replaced Illya “LilMeAlone” Illyuk at the fifth position in HR, while Azamat “Gaticy” Gatciev replaced Kirill “dehira” Kharitonov for B8. Dendi’s team won a solid victory. B8’s carry Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov looked unstoppable on his Morphling. He finished the game with a score of 19-1-9.
B8 took the lead after the lane stage in the second game. Reinforcing with such hero as Treant Protector allowed the team to feel comfortable on the lanes and in team fights. Nevertheless, B8 could not consolidate their advantage. After a long pause and several unsuccessful attacks, there was a battle in which the HellRaisers seized the initiative. The game lasted more than 50 minutes, but at least HR were able to finish the game, thereby tying the score in the series.
HR defeated their opponents on the decisive map. Despite the fact that it lasted just over 30 minutes, B8 looked completely helpless. There was literally a one-way game and the Dendi’s team could not do anything. As a result, HR won the series 2:1.
HR vs V-Gaming
Grand Final of the tournament was played in bo5 format. HR decided to take a tempo draft with a lot of summons and quickly crush their opponent, but their lost lanes failed their tactics. As a result, V-Gaming withstood the onslaught at an early game, after which they realized the potential of their heroes. The first map for the Kazakhstan team.
V-Gaming took the hard-carry Medusa and four heroes that created space for her in the second game. V-Gaming’s plan worked and they had no problem dealing with HR, who could not resist the onslaught of overfarmed Medusa.
HellRaisers decided to pick Terrorblade and Ember Spirit on the third map. The HR draft looked greedy, and the V-Gaming used it taking the draft with a strong team fight and lots of magic damage. Once again, HR failed the lanes, and then V-Gaming snowballed their advantage. The game lasted just over 30 minutes. It was the final game of the series. V-Gaming defeated HR with a score of 3:0.
