Rejoining the competitive spotlight via Cubert Academy — the academy team of Sentinels — TenZ took center stage at the VALORANT Challengers 2025 North America: Stage 2. In his opening match, TenZ and Cubert Academy faced Winthrop University. The team faltered across two maps, Haven and Lotus, losing 8–13 on both. TenZ ran Neon throughout, notching a 30/37 KD ratio — a mixed bag that placed him fourth in total kills for the match.
Dropping to the lower bracket, Cubert Academy squared off against YFP in a do-or-die elimination clash.
Despite being pre-match favorites, they lost narrowly on Split (11–13) and were outclassed on Lotus (4–13), sealing their early exit.

TenZ has yet to comment on his future with Cubert Academy or plans for the rest of the 2025 season. However, his performance — particularly his balanced final KD — suggests he still possesses the individual sharpness expected of a Valorant legend.
Meanwhile, Cubert Academy responded light-heartedly on social media, quipping that they’d fulfilled their promise to “bring tier-2 chaos” to the scene.
