The NBA 2K27 Top 100 player ratings are officially out, and the conversation around who deserves what number is already in full swing. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, and Nikola Jokić each land at 97 OVR, sharing the highest rating in the game ahead of its September 4 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The top five is largely familiar from last year, with one notable addition: the 2026 NBA Finals MVP has entered the upper tier. Several second-year players who delivered strong rookie campaigns have also earned spots in the Top 100 for the first time.
The 97-Rated Trio and the Top 10
Three players sit at the absolute ceiling of NBA 2K27. Gilgeous-Alexander, Wembanyama, and Jokić all carry a 97 OVR, reflecting the degree to which each has separated himself from the rest of the league. Luka Dončić, Jalen Brunson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo follow at 96 OVR, with Anthony Edwards one point behind at 95. Cade Cunningham checks in at 94, while Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, and Karl-Anthony Towns all sit at 93 OVR to round out the upper tier.

Dylan Harper and Kon Knueppel also appear, at 85 and 84 OVR respectively, alongside V.J. Edgecombe (83) and Ajay Mitchell (82). Second-year players like Stephon Castle (87), Amen Thompson (86), and Ausar Thompson (85) reflect strong sophomore showings that earned them upgraded slots.
LeBron James at 91 OVR and Joel Embiid at the same mark sit just outside the top 15, with players like Tyrese Maxey (92) and Jamal Murray (89) positioned between the elite tier and the mid-80s cluster. The 87 OVR band is notably crowded, featuring nine players across multiple positions and roles.
