The Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves have completed a trade, with Minnesota sending Josh Green and cash considerations to Utah in exchange for Cody Williams and John Konchar. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal. Konchar was waived shortly after the trade was finalized.

Josh Green Heads to Utah
Green, a 6-foot-6 guard entering his seventh NBA season, was originally selected with the No. 18 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft out of Arizona. He played a contributing role in the Dallas Mavericks’ 2024 NBA Finals run and also represented Australia at the international level, earning a bronze medal at the 2021 Olympic Games and appearing in four games at the 2024 Olympics. Across 349 career games (129 starts), he has suited up for the Dallas Mavericks (2020-24) and Charlotte Hornets (2024-26).
Cody Williams Joins Minnesota
Williams, a 6-foot-8 forward, appeared in 67 games (41 starts) with the Jazz last season. He posted a career-best 8.8 points per game on 46.8% shooting, with 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.3 minutes per game. He reached 20 or more points six times during the season, highlighted by a career-high 34-point performance on March 15 against Sacramento. Selected No. 10 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, Williams is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Jalen Williams.
Konchar’s Career Numbers
Konchar, 30, compiled 363 career appearances (65 starts) over eight NBA seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies and Jazz, averaging 4.3 points on 46.9% shooting, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 17.6 minutes per game. His tenure ended quickly after arriving in Minnesota, with the Timberwolves waiving him shortly after the trade closed.
