Following Casemiro‘s departure, United are left with Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte as the primary deep-lying midfield options, with Mason Mount offering limited cover despite being a creative midfielder by nature. Ugarte has failed to establish himself since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain, while Mainoo, though promising, requires careful management of his minutes given his age.
