NAVI and Heroic had different runs at Legend Stage. s1mple & co won three matches in a row and secured the spot for the playoffs after the second game day. Heroic played all five matches and won Team Vitality 2:1 on the final game day. NAVI had a lot of days for a break, while Heroic ended to play Legend Stage on Tuesday. From one side, this is an advantage for NAVI, with another for Heroic.
The last time these teams met was mid-April 2022 at EU RMR A. Then Heroic managed to win Natus Vincere 2:1 (Mirage 11:16; Inferno 16:13; Nuke 16:9). It was the first victory for the Danish team against NAVI since October 2019. In total, the teams played 22 maps in current line-ups, 16 of which NAVI won, and only six Heroic.

Map pool. Heroic doesn’t play Dust 2, NAVI – Vertigo. Then NAVI should choose between Mirage and Ancient, preferably the second variant, because they have a 100% win rate on this map, while Heroic has only 25%. The Danish team will choose Inferno because they won against NAVI on this map in the last match. And for the decider, teams will probably choose Overpass. NAVI doesn’t want to play Nuke against Heroic, while the Danish team prefers Overpass, and not Mirage or Ancient, depending on which will choose NAVI.
On the one hand, NAVI’s map pool is better than that of Heroic, but because the Ukrainian team didn’t play a lot of Nuke’s recently, if the Danes turn the game to a third map, they will win the match.

Honestly, it will be one of the most interesting matches at this event. NAVI wants to defend its title, and continue to dominate in the esports scene. While Heroic has a top-4 barrier at LAN-events, they need to break it as soon as possible to achieve their goals. Almost everyone believes that NAVI will win this match, and then win the entire tournament, but not me. Yes, NAVI had a good last stage, but I believe in Heroic. They have experienced players, Xizt as a coach, and great energy inside the team.
