Flick Welcomes Raphinha’s Return as Barcelona Push for LaLiga Title

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick confirmed winger Raphinha has returned from injury ahead of the Catalans’ title assault. Barcelona sit 11 points clear of second-place Real Madrid with five league matches remaining and can clinch a second successive LaLiga crown this weekend.

The reigning champions face Osasuna on Saturday, with Real Madrid visiting out-of-form Espanyol the following day. If Barcelona win and Real Madrid lose, the title returns to Camp Nou. A Clasico clash on May 10 offers another opportunity to seal the crown if the weekend scenarios don’t align.

Raphinha’s Impact on Title Run-In

Raphinha missed significant action after suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty with Brazil in March. His absence coincided with Barcelona‘s Champions League elimination at the hands of Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals.

“Rapha is a player who always gives us 100 percent, when he’s on the pitch or in training. His mentality, his attitude, is always 100 percent and that helps us a lot. This season he has had to suffer from injury so for us it’s important to have him back. He will also travel with us and we’ll see what happens tomorrow. I think also for the team it’s great to have him back, because he’s one of our captains, he’s positive and can give us these things that we need.”

Flick emphasized the winger’s leadership qualities and consistency. Raphinha will travel with the squad for Saturday’s fixture against Osasuna, though his immediate involvement remains undecided.

Yamal Sidelined Until Season’s End

Barcelona continue without teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, the 18-year-old ruled out through the end of the campaign due to his own hamstring complaint. Flick expects the prodigy to make a full recovery in time for World Cup participation.

“He’s doing good, so the evolution is good. I think we will see him in the World Cup. He has time, more time, to recover, to come back. And this is what he wants.”

Chasing Historic 100-Point Mark

Barcelona can reach 100 points if they win all five remaining matches, matching the record set by Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid in 2012 and Tito Vilanova’s Barcelona in 2013.

“We are only focused on the next match, but of course we want to win every game between now and the end of the season. For me it would be perfect when we can win every game, but also we have tough opponents. Our job is, in every match, to play on our best level, to learn from the game for the next game and for our training. So this is our philosophy, our attitude, our mentality.”

Flick framed the quest as one of consistency rather than perfection. Barcelona‘s title credentials rest on execution across their fixture list, with Raphinha‘s availability strengthening their attacking arsenal for the critical weeks ahead.
