We’re just a few months away from the International 2022 and the race for direct qualification to the event is heating up.
Format for International 2022
How to qualify:
- 12 teams qualify through the DOTA Pro Circuit
- 6 teams qualify through Regional Qualifiers; one team each from North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China and Southeast Asia.
- 2 teams qualify through the Last Chance Qualifier

The International 2022 will run throughout most of October, starting on the 8th and finishing on October 30th.
The event will be divided into three stages:
Last Round Qualifiers – October 8th – October 12th
12 teams will compete for just two slots
Group Stage – October 15th – October 18th
20 qualified teams fight it out – 4 teams are eliminated
The Main Event – October 20th – October 26th
16 remaining teams compete for the multimillion-dollar prize

So far only two teams are guaranteed a place at the International and that is PSG.LGD and TSM.FTX.
Tour 3 of the regional qualifiers are underway as teams fight for those vital DPC points and on August 4th, 18 teams will travel to PGL Arlington in the USA for the final major before the International 2022.
