The buzz around the 2025 NBA Draft hasn’t even cooled, and already two of its most electrifying names Cooper Flagg and Bronny James are dominating headlines once again.
Set in Las Vegas from July 10–20, the NBA Summer League returns to the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion at UNLV, bringing together all 30 franchises for an early showcase of the league’s future stars.
Each team will play at least four preliminary games from July 10 to 18. The top four, based on win percentage, advance to the semifinals on July 19, while the title match is scheduled for July 20. Even teams that miss out on the playoff bracket will participate in a consolation game ensuring five total outings per squad.
But make no mistake: all eyes are on July 10.
That’s when the NBA’s most-hyped rookie, Cooper Flagg the No. 1 overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks faces off against Bronny James, the Los Angeles Lakers’ second-round pick and the league’s first-ever son to share the court with his father, LeBron James.

The highly anticipated matchup will tip off a nationally televised ESPN doubleheader. Expect fireworks as Flagg suits up in Dallas blue while James dons the Lakers’ iconic gold and white. This isn’t just a clash of potential it’s a ratings magnet and a betting hotspot in the making.
The duel between Flagg and James is far from the only storyline. Dylan Harper (No. 2 pick, San Antonio Spurs) and VJ Edgecombe (No. 3, Philadelphia 76ers) are also primed for spotlight moments. Summer League is where raw potential gets its first big test particularly for two-way contracts and undrafted hopefuls aiming to force their way onto NBA rosters.
Whether you’re in it for the tactical insights, betting lines, or scouting future stars, the 2025 NBA Summer League is the proving ground you can’t afford to miss.
