Liverpool’s Bradley Out for Season with Knee Injury
Liverpool defender Conor Bradley has been ruled out for the remainder of the domestic season after sustaining a significant knee injury. The 22-year-old suffered damage to both bone and ligament during Thursday’s Premier League clash at Arsenal.
Bradley was forced off in stoppage time after landing awkwardly near the touchline while chasing the ball. The injury, though serious, does not involve his anterior cruciate ligament. He is set to undergo surgery in the coming days.
The full-back’s absence also casts doubt over his participation in the World Cup, should Northern Ireland qualify.
Martinelli Apologizes for On-Pitch Incident
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli later apologized for his role in the incident. After Bradley went down injured, Martinelli dropped the ball on him and shoved him in the back, attempting to push him off the pitch. This sparked a melee, resulting in yellow cards for both Martinelli and Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate.

I really didn’t understand he was seriously injured in the heat of the moment. I want to say I’m deeply sorry for reacting. Sending Conor all my best again for a quick recovery.

Former Manchester United players Gary Neville and Roy Keane criticized Martinelli’s actions on Sky Sports, with Neville calling them “absolutely disgraceful” and labeling the Arsenal winger an “idiot.”
Liverpool’s Right-Back Dilemma
Since Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s summer move to Real Madrid, Bradley has been Liverpool’s first-choice right-back, starting 12 Premier League games this season. Manager Arne Slot now faces limited options to replace him.
Potential alternatives include Joe Gomez, while Dominik Szoboszlai has occasionally filled in at full-back. However, Jeremie Frimpong, who has been playing further forward on the right flank, appears the most likely candidate to step into the role.
