Chelsea Move for John Stones as Arsenal Join the Race

Across his City career he made close to 300 appearances, contributing 19 goals and nine assists. His contract expired this summer, making him a free agent and attracting immediate attention from clubs across Europe.

Arsenal’s need is clear. With Saliba sidelined, the defensive depth looks thin, and Stones offers the versatility and Premier League experience Mikel Arteta requires without a significant outlay.
