The two-time champions of The International OG officially confirmed that their offlaner Sébastien “Ceb” Debs may miss the tournament.
OG left the official comment on their website, spreading it on social networks.
The organization says that Ceb needed emergency surgery due to an eye problem. OG’s offlaner immediately went to France for eye treatment. He’s recovering from the surgery now. At the moment, Sebastian is feeling good and his health is well, but doctors do not know if Ceb will be able to play at TI10.
Last week, our beloved Sébastien “Ceb” Debs was diagnosed with an eye condition that could permanently endanger his eye and required surgery immediately. We flew him back to France, where he underwent surgery the following day surrounded by his loved ones.
OG decided to find a stand-in, which was a player of Team Liquid Michael “miCKe” Vu. The player immediately joined OG for a bootcamp in Portugal to practice with the team before TI.
There is still hope that Ceb will still play at TI10, but it is slight.
It is uncertain whether Ceb will be cleared to play The International 10, and we will be waiting on his doctor’s verdict before making any final team decision.
Yesterday, the internet began to abound with rumors that Sébastien “Ceb” Debs would miss The International 10. Reddit users posted screenshots showing miCKe practicing at the offlane position in the public games.
