ESL Impact League Season 3 Finals is an A-Tier tournament that will take place on Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center on Dallas in the United States, and we will have from all around the world fighting for a total prize pool of 123.000 dollars, and this tournament will take place in June this year. This is the biggest tournament from feminine counter strike of the year The 8 teams came from various different qualifiers, so let´s break them out:
Out of the 8 teams in this tournament, 3 came from the European division, and in this european division we have at total 12 european teams, 8 invited teams: 9 Pandas fearless, Astralis Female, BIG Equipa, Navi Javelins, Nigma Galaxy Female, NIP Female and Outsiders Angels. And 4 teams came from the open qualifiers, 2 from open qualifier 1 and 2 from open qualifier 2. In the open qualifier 1, 23 teams faced each other in a single elimination bracket, with all matches being BO3, including obviously the qualification matches, in the open qualifier 2, 25 teams were the total that participated, in the first open qualifier, OUTCASTS and WeRunThisPlace were the qualified teams, and in the open qualifier 2, Shinigami and aces got qualified for the european division qualifier. The european division will have 2 stages, the group stage and the playoffs stage. In the group stage, all 12 teams will participate and will be divided in 2 groups with 6 teams each, and it will be a round robin single format groups. This means that every single team from each group will play against each team in their own group once, meaning that if each group has 6 teams, every single team will play 5 matches in total. All matches will be BO3, and the winner from each group will advance directly into LAN Finals, so 2 teams in total will advance directly, and the second place from each group will proceed into the play in stage. In this play in stage, it will be a BO3 match between 2 second placed teams from each group, and the winner will be the third team going into LAN Finals, while every other team will be eliminated.
We proceed into north american division, there is even a prize pool in this tournament, with the value of 9.000 dollars, not only for the winners, but also for the losers, and here 8 teams will go head to head fighting for a spot in the LAN Finals, close enough to what we saw in the european division, here also we have 4 invited teams: Chimkin, Counter Logic Gaming Red, Evil Geniuses Gold and Saints; and on the other hand we will also feature two teams from open qualifier 1, and 2 teams from open qualifier 2. Both open qualifiers were single elimination brackets, with all matches being BO3, but with much fewer teams than we saw in the European division, and the two teams qualified from open qualifier 1 were shimmer and byte, and the two teams qualified from open qualifier 2 were starfish and U-Turn, all these 4 teams qualified for the north american division. The north American division will also feature a 2 group round robin format, where all 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each, but the biggest difference is that in here, every single team will play against each other twice, meaning that every single team from each group will play a total amount of 6 matches, all matches will be BO3, and the top 2 teams from each group will advance into playoffs stage. In the playoffs stage it will be a single elimination bracket, without any second chances, you lose you are out of the competition, and the winner from group A will face the second placed from group B and the winner from group B will face the second placed from group A. The winners from both these 2 matches in the playoffs stage will face each other in the grand final, but no matter who will win the grand final, both teams will be qualified for LAN Finals.
Going into South American Division, the story is pretty much the same, also with a 9.000 dollars prize pool, and also with 8 teams at total, 4 invited teams: B4 Esports Female, Black Dragons Female, Furia Esports Female and MIBR Female. However, we will also have 4 teams coming from open qualifier, on both open qualifiers we have even fewer teams and with single elimination bracket with all matches being BO3, from the open qualifier 1 the qualified teams were W7M Esports Female and EndGame Esports, and from open qualifier 2, LRV Esports Female and Parabellum Esports Female were the 2 teams also qualified for South America Division. The format is exactly the same that we saw on north america division, we will have a 2 group round robin format, where all 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each, meaning that every single team will play against each other twice, meaning that every single team from each group will play a total amount of 6 matches, all matches will be BO3, and the top 2 teams from each group will advance into playoffs stage.
Keep in mind that will be also a team that will be qualified from a wildcard qualifier as well.
Now coming into the main stage in the LAN Finals in Dallas, these 8 teams, will be divided in 2 groups of 4, and all of them will play in a double elimination format group. The 2 first matches will be the opening matches, and will be BO1 matches and the winners from the opening matches faced each other in the winner´s match, that will also be a BO1 match and the winner from that match was the group stage winner and the first team advancing into the playoffs stage, and will have a slight advantage. However, on the other hand, the losers from opening matches, also faced each other in the elimination´s match, which will be our first BO3 match and the loser from the match, got fourth placed in the group and was the first team of the group getting eliminated. The winner from the elimination match and the loser from the winner´s match also faced each other on an all or nothing decider match, which will be another BO3 match that will decide, which team will go through the playoffs, and be second placed in the group stage, and which team will get also eliminated and get third placed in the group. The top 2 teams from each group, meaning 4 teams at total, will go directly into playoffs stage.
In the playoffs stage the winner from group A will face the second placed from group B and the winner from group B will be facing the second placed from group A in a single elimination bracket, all BO3 matches, with no second chances, you lose, you are out of the competition, and the winners from these 2 matches will face each other in the grand final match. The winner from the grand final will be crowned champion from ESL Impact League Season 3 Finals, and will win the biggest prize for feminine counter strike, 50.000 dollars, and will be considered the best female counter strike team in the entire world writing history. Remember that last year´s winner from Impact 2 in Jonkoping were Nigma Galaxy Female after taking down Furia Esports Female in the grand finals.
