In this relegation all 16 teams will face each other in a double elimination bracket, with all matches being BO3, and there will be second chances even though a team loss, remember that every single team from ESL Challenger League Season 44 will face a team from ESEA Advanced randomly in the first stage of this relegation phase. Only the top 8 teams from relegation will move forward into the main stage of ESL Challenger League Season 45 Europe, and bottom 8 teams will move into ESEA Advanced season 45.

Only the grand final will be a BO5 match, and it is where we will see the winner from the upper bracket final, the undefeated team from the tournament so far, facing the winner from the lower bracket final which will automatically be a team with a single loss in the competition. However, the upper bracket finalist will already have a crazy advantage, will have already a single map in advance, so they will enter this grand final winning 1-0. Usually the BO5 matches we have 2 map picks from each team plus a decider map which is left over, but here, since the upper bracket finalist will already be entering winning 1-0, there will be only 2 map picks from each team without decider map, upper bracket finalist will only need 2 maps, while the lower bracket finalist will still have to win 3 maps. The winner from the Grand Final will win the biggest prize of 20.000 dollars, and most importantly, will guarantee a spot at ESL Pro League Season 18 at Malta, and remember, that top 16 teams from the tournament will already secure a spot at ESL Challenger League Season 46 Europe starting only on July,a nd bottom 8 teams will be sent into Season 45 relegation and will still have to fight for a spot at ESL Challenger League Season 46 Europe.
