Key Betting Angles

Kylian Mbappé is in unstoppable form. The France captain has scored in every knockout round — netting twice against Sweden, once from the spot against Paraguay, and again against Morocco in the Quarter-final. He is the standout anytime scorer candidate in the Semi-final against Spain and, potentially, the Final.

Norway’s ability to eliminate Brazil is a statement of intent. Erling Haaland scored twice in the closing stages to stun Brazil in the Round of 16 — goals in the 79th and 90th minutes. That capacity to score late means Norway vs England carries significant value in the over 2.5 goals and both-teams-to-score markets, given England’s own attacking pedigree with Kane and Bellingham.

Spain’s late-goal tendency creates interesting angles. Merino has already scored two crucial late goals — the winner against Canada’s conquerors Portugal at 90+1′, and then the decisive strike in a 2–1 win over Belgium. Spain consistently find ways to win matches in added time, making them a strong candidate in draw-at-half-time and to-win markets.

Argentina have been tested and found ways through. Back-to-back extra-time victories — a nervy 3–2 against Cape Verde and a dramatic 3–2 against Egypt — reveal a side capable of coming from difficult positions, but also one that has shown defensive vulnerability. Switzerland, who ground out a 0–0 draw through 120 minutes against Colombia, could prove stubborn opposition and represent value in the draw at 90 minutes market.

Belgium’s attacking depth should not be underestimated. De Ketelaere, Lukaku, Vanaken, and Tielemans all contributed goals across Belgium’s run to the last four. However, their Semi-final against Spain — should they qualify — would represent a significant step up in defensive quality, with Spain having conceded just once in their last three knockout matches.
