The League Phase in the UEFA Conference League is shorter than the Champions League. Only three games remain for the participants. If you don’t start caring about results now, there is a risk that the last two rounds won’t be enough to fix the situation. The TipsGG analyst team has prepared predictions for the most interesting matches of the fourth round, which will take place on Thursday, November 27.
Sigma Olomouc vs Celje
Both teams approach the match with pleasant unbeaten streaks. Sigma have gone eight games without defeat, while Celje have a five-match successful run. Despite the shorter streak, the Slovenians look more convincing in Europe: along with two other teams, they have a 100% record after three Conference League rounds.
Sigma’s performance in qualification was telling — the Czechs were completely outclassed by Malmö both home and away. Celje have lost just once away — 2:1 to AEK Larnaca. In their other four away matches, the Counts won, mostly convincingly. The Slovenians also have positive experience against Czech clubs — in the playoff round of qualification, they knocked out Ostrava.
Even despite the domestic unbeaten run, Sigma’s failure against crisis-hit Malmö raises questions. Celje currently look much stronger. In my opinion, the guests’ zero handicap is the optimal choice.
Bet: Celje Handicap (0) (odds 2.05)
Lech Poznań vs Lausanne
Lech started their European campaign with a 4:1 thrashing of Rapid, but then managed to lose in Gibraltar and, against Rayo Vallecano, squandered a 2:0 lead and lost. Poznań play truly entertaining football: in 26 matches this season, both teams failed to score in only 4 games.
Lausanne are not much different in style. In 25 matches, only eight times did one team fail to score. At the same time, the Swiss results look even more solid — they are in the upper part of the Conference League table.
Against the background of both clubs’ statistics, both teams to score looks the most logical option. But since the odds are low (1.43), we can take a risk and strengthen the bet with the guests not losing — they look somewhat more stable.
Bet: Lausanne Double Chance (X2) + Both Teams to Score – Yes (odds 2.48)
Shamrock Rovers vs Shakhtar Donetsk
Shamrock Rovers approach the game with a noticeable contrast between overall inconsistency and a more composed home model, where they manage to maintain compactness and control zones, compensating for pressing issues. After winning the national cup final on November 9, Shamrock have had no match practice for two weeks. A long break carries the risk of stagnation but also enhances tactical readiness, allowing the hosts to act more carefully and bring the game to key moments.
Against this background, Shakhtar look more powerful and mature: a winning streak, high tempo, and pragmatic conversion of chances create a stable sense of control, especially evident after halftime when the team increases pressure without losing compactness. Even a long injury list does not destroy their integrity, as the core lines remain intact and provide the necessary balance between vertical progression and caution in possession phases.
In Shamrock’s last eight games and in six of Shakhtar’s last eight away matches, no more than four goals were scored. I think Shakhtar will win, but I don’t expect a goal fest.
Bet: Shakhtar to Win + Total Under 4.5 (odds 1.7)
Fiorentina vs AEK
Fiorentina are having a disastrous domestic season so far, but in this context, the Conference League looks like a good opportunity to catch their breath. Paolo Vanoli has improved the team’s situation since taking over at the beginning of the month, drawing both matches but still without a win.
Overall, the Violets have gone six games without a victory. In Serie A, they remain one of only two teams yet to win after 12 rounds. In the Conference League, Fiorentina sit eighth thanks to points earned under Pioli. In such a situation, the third-tier European competition is unlikely to be a priority, although the first win under the new coach is badly needed.
AEK, unlike their opponents, have hit form — five matches unbeaten. All these games ended Under 2.5. In the Conference League, the Double-Headed Eagles have one win, one draw, and one defeat.
The club from Florence is the only one to reach the Conference League final twice. This season, the Violets beat Sigma Olomouc and Rapid Vienna, but that was under a different coach. Visually, AEK look much better, sitting third in the Greek Super League and performing well over a solid stretch against a variety of opponents — albeit with far more modest resources than Fiorentina. Moreover, the guests have not won any of their four away European matches this season.
All the stats favor the hosts. Fiorentina are capable of using the positive momentum from recent matches. I expect the Violets to get the win and move into the top eight in their favorite competition of recent years.
Bet: Fiorentina to Win (odds 1.71)
Given Fiorentina’s critical situation in the league, the new staff may focus precisely on Serie A. It’s hard to believe their winless streak will end here. AEK currently look more stable, and their double chance looks quite promising in this situation.
Bet: AEK Double Chance (X2) (odds 2.00)
Strasbourg vs Crystal Palace
The hosts approach this meeting in a slightly less favorable state — Strasbourg lost to Lens in the league and have been dropping points frequently lately. However, the French are ready to capitalize on home support — the club has lost only twice in their previous 16 home matches. That said, Strasbourg are not very prolific — this season they have scored more than one goal at home only three times.
Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run across all competitions to five matches before the game, consisting of four wins and a draw. The Londoners have had their best-ever start in the Premier League and calmly beat Wolves away last weekend. Overall, the team feel confident away from home — just two defeats in their last 12 matches. Moreover, Crystal Palace are very solid defensively and conceded only five goals in that stretch.
Considering all factors, a draw would not be surprising. The teams might even finish goalless, but I think we will see one or two goals.
Bet: Total Under 2.5 (odds 1.89)
