shroud rose to prominence in early 2013 when he started Twitch streaming his Counter-Strike skills; this led him to debut in the professional scene with Complexity as a stand-in. His talent in-game caught the attention of Cloud9, who permanently signed the Canadian after acquiring the Complexity roster in 2014. During his four-year stint with Cloud9, shroud became a mainstay in North American CS:GO, participating in multiple international events. shroud has had many notable placings during his CS:GO tenure, including a first-place finish in the ESL Pro League Season 4, a second-place finish in ESL One: Cologne 2017, and a quarterfinal appearance in ESL One: Cologne 2014. At the beginning of 2018, shroud announced his retirement from the professional scene to pursue full-time content creation.
Since shroud departed from the competitive scene, he has become one of the most successful and popular streamers. In 2020, he signed a 30 million dollar deal with Mixer and Microsoft to stream exclusively on their platform and would later return to Twitch in 2021. shroud has had some experience in the competitive Valorant scene, where he appeared in the North American Stage 3: Challengers open qualifier with other popular Valorant streamers under the banner: What’s going on.
shroud decision to join Sentinels comes after the organization announced that SicK would be unable to play with the team due to “family matters” and “mental health issues.”
Sentinels are set to play in North America’s Last Chance Qualifiers in August, where they will play against seven other teams for a chance to feature in Champions 2022.
Sentinels are now:
