FaZe ClanSicK’s temporary departure from the active roster began in late May, where Sentinels were 0-2 in the North American Challengers 2: Group Stage. The organization would later announce that SicK would be taking an extended leave of absence due to “ongoing family matters.” Sentinels’ coach Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty would be substituting for SicK for the time being.
Hunter "SicK" Mims will be taking an extended leave of absence to attend to an on-going family matter. SicK has our full support during this difficult time.
Coach Rawkus will fill in for the remainder of Challengers.

Sentinels’ 2022 VCT run has been disappointing, failing to qualify for Masters 1: Reykjavik and dropping out of Challengers 2: Group Stage without notching a single win. Due to their performances throughout the year, the organization earned 30 points during Stage 1 and a measly 15 points during Stage 2. Sentinels were threatened by not being able to qualify for the LCQ, but due to Ghost Gaming’s collapse in NA Challengers 2: Playoffs, failing to win a single series, Sentinels managed to be eligible for LCQ as 10th place in the points standings.
The North American LCQ will be played in August. Alongside Sentinels, North American mainstays such as FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves, and The Guard will also be attending the event. Sentinels are entering the LCQ as the heavy underdogs, especially with SicK sitting out of the event.
Sentinels will field this roster for the NA LCQ:
- Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan
- Michael “dapr” Gulino
- Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty
- Tyson “TenZ’ Ngo
- Eric “Kanpeki” Xu
