MSI 2022 Day 4 Predictions

Like they say third time is the charm, and finally, on Day 3 of MSI 2022, we predicted all the six matches correctly.

So far we have predicted correctly 15 out of the 18 games played in this MSI 2022, so I would say our results have been pretty satisfactory.

Day 4 marks the first day where all the six games will be played between teams from the same group, which makes things a little more interesting and difficult a the same time.

Some matches may lose their importance because that team maybe be already qualified for the next stage or already out of the tournament. Sometimes this leads to some questionable drafts where teams pick what they are comfortable with or feel like playing than the composition that will give them the best chance at winning the game, so look out for that.

Without further ado, let’s get right into the predictions for MSI 2022 Day 4.

PSG Talon vs RED Canids match prediction

The two matches between these teams will be very important to find out who will grab the second place in group B and move on to the next stage.

RED Canids performances so far have been solid, despite losing to RNG which is by far the best team in the group, they still managed to have a good early game versus the LPL champions, until the team made some small mistakes that RNG as the experienced team they are used to open a big gold lead in their favor and took control fo the game.

Against İstanbul Wildcats the CBLOL champions were in control for most of the game and should have won the game, if not for a mistake they made in the mid lane that saw the TCL champions win the team fight and march on RED Canids base, ending the game.

PSG Talon doesn’t look like the dominant team everyone was expecting, especially against teams such as RED Canids and İstanbul Wildcats. They performed much better in the second game against RNG and in today’s game versus the TCL champions, where they grabbed their first win of the tournament.

Despite their early game looking better versus İstanbul Wildcats, it didn’t look clean, and if you look at how well RED Canids played against PSG Talon in their first game of the group stage, especially in the early game, I think the Brazilian side as a little of an advantage in this one.

If RED Canids can continue to perform well in their early game and pull the trigger when the opportunity arrives I think they can very well win both games versus the PCS champions.

They need to clean up some of their mistakes, as PSG Talon is a very strong team when it comes to team fights, and if you overextend or commit to a fight or skirmish in a disadvantageous position that can be disastrous.

PSG Talon shine in the team fights, it was on a mistake by İstanbul Wildcats, overextending in a mid-lane play to take the tier 1 down, that the PCS champions forced the fight, came out on top, and took control of the game after it.

Both games should be closer than the first time both teams faced off in this MSI 2022, but I will give the slight advantage to RED Canids. They might not be the favorites, but the way they have been playing, and the fact they have already defeated PSG Talon, and in a dominant way, will also be important for this matchup.

Royal Never Give Up vs İstanbul Wildcats match prediction

Royal Never Give Up is heads and shoulders above everyone else in this group. The LPL champions have dominated all their games, with convincing wins over the TCL, CBLOL, and PCS champions, and looked poised to take the first place in group B.

As for İstanbul Wildcats, they sit at a record of 1-2 and are still in contention for the second spot in the group, and moving on to the rumble stage becoming the first Turkish team ever to do that.

But, the İstanbul Wildcats win was not a dominant or even convincing win. They took advantage of a big mistake by their opponent, which is also something you have to praise since most teams are not capable of capitalizing on their opponent’s mistakes, but their early game has not look good, and I don’t think they will be able to out team fight Royal Never Give Up if it comes down to that.

The LPL champions are just too strong for the İstanbul Wildcats, they will target ban HolyPhoenix the team superstar ADC, making it even harder for the Turkish team, and with their great landing phase and individual performances, will claim yet another victory.

İstanbul Wildcats vs PSG Talon match prediction

PSG Talon already defeated İstanbul Wildcats today, and it was their best performance of the tournament so far.

The early game was balanced but when it came to team fighting the PCS champions were much better than the Turkish team.

It’s also way easier to win the draft phase versus the TCL champions, since targeting their star ADC champion pool seems to be working so far.

İstanbul Wildcats rely on their strong early game to get ahead in the game, and most of their early game plan passes through the bot lane.

PSG Talon also knows that a win against the İstanbul Wildcats is crucial to keep their dream of moving forward alive, and the same goes for the Turkish squad.

I think PSG Talon is a better team individually, and their team fighting will win them this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a much closer game than most anticipate.

RED Canids vs Royal Never Give Up match prediction

For the first ten minutes of the game, RED Canids was actually able to play in even ground versus the LPL champions, but after some mistakes RNG opened a 5k gold lead, took control of the game, and never looked back.

I predict the same will happen in this game. RNG just look unstoppable in this group, despite not having the cleanest early game, their mid-game has proved to be too much for teams to handle.

If RED Canids can manage to repeat their early game performance and this time don’t make the mistakes they did in the mid-game, maybe there is a chance for an upset, but it’s still a very slim one.

RNG is the final boss of group B and I don’t think anyone is getting past them.

RED Canids vs İstanbul Wildcats match prediction

This match can dictate if RED Canids will advance to the next stage, or at least have a shot at it, or completely end the dream of all the Brazilian fans.

TCL VS CBLOL is one of the oldest and hottest rivalries in League of Legends history. In the past few years the TCL has come out on top but RED Canids is determined to change that.

İstanbul Wildcats draw first blood by defeating the Brazilian champions, in a game that frankly should have gone RED Canids way. It was a very solid showing of the Brazilian team, especially in the early game.

RED Canids was able to increase their advantage in the mid-game, with some good macro play and focusing on playing around the objectives.

However, a mistake in the mid-lane saw the team lose a team fight that shouldn’t have happened, especially not that way, and the İstanbul Wildcats were more than glad to receive that gift and secure their first win, and so far only, of the tournament.

I think this time the ending will be different. RED Canids will still have a great early game performance and will be able to implement a good macro and micro in the mid-game but they won’t be caught off guard once again and will be able to close out the game, defeating the TCL champions for the joy of a lot of Brazilian fans.

PSG Talon vs Royal Never Give Up match prediction

This can be a very close and fun game to watch, or yet another stomp by Royal Never Give Up. If you look at how PSG Talon has been playing I think a stomp by the LPL champions is more likely.

PSG Talon has been performing better in the early game, which is Royal Never Give Up weakness, and they are also very good when it comes to team fighting. If they manage to get to the latest stage of the game even in gold there is a world where PSG Talon takes this game from Royal Never Give Up.

But I still see the LPL champions as the massive favorites and would be surprised if they dropped a single match in this group. It can happen that the team already has the first place secure and this game will have no stakes for them, but even if that is the case I think Royal Never Give Up will still give it they’re all.
