According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Simeone is also attracting attention from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites want to strengthen their wide options for next season and have identified the 23-year-old winger as a target.
Mundo Deportivo reports that United value Simeone’s physical prowess, versatility across the front line, aggression and commitment to pressing high up the pitch. The same report states Simeone remains committed to his current club and has no plans to leave the Estadio Metropolitano in the near future.
Giuliano Simeone and his time at Atletico Madrid so far
Simeone has been a regular selection for his father, Diego Simeone, since forcing his way into the first-team squad. He joined from River Plate in September 2019, needing loan spells at Real Zaragoza and Deportivo Alaves before establishing himself at the Spanish club.
He’s made over 100 appearances for the Rojiblancos, contributing 14 goals and 19 assists. His form this campaign has been sharp, with two goals and two assists in nine outings. That output has caught the eye of several clubs across Europe.

Premier League move on the horizon?
The interest from Old Trafford is an unexpected development. Michael Carrick already has two options on the right flank in Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo, both performing well this season. Priorities should lie elsewhere, a striker and defensive reinforcements, though Simeone will still be watched closely during the fixture against Atletico.
The situation at Tottenham differs slightly. Roberto De Zerbi has multiple bodies for the right-wing role, but Dejan Kulusevski’s fitness remains a concern following a long-term knee injury, and Mohammed Kudus has struggled for consistency since his move from West Ham United. Simeone’s physical edge and pace make him a sensible option for Spurs.
Atletico Madrid, per Mundo Deportivo, won’t entertain offers for Simeone next year. With the player himself committed to Los Rojiblancos, both suitors from the Premier League will need to look elsewhere for wide reinforcements across the next two transfer windows.
