Prefer us on Google — see Tips.gg in Top Stories & DiscoverAdd on Google

The second matchday of the Champions League lands on 14 October, and there is a selection on all six of the fixtures covered here. The pricing tells its own story: the shortest call sits at 1.62 and the longest at 2.31, figures worth passing through an odds converter if you prefer fractional or American formats. Oleksandr Vaskov and Oleksandr Halian, both Sports Data Managers, and Oleksii Svyrydov, TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert, share the six between them, leaning on goal lines, double chances and straight home wins rather than outright shocks. TipsGG publishes free football predictions with pre-match odds for the Champions League and the other major European competitions. With only one round played, nobody has banked enough points to relax, which is exactly why so many of these football betting tips hinge on sides that cannot afford a second slip.

Feyenoord vs Como Prediction

2ComoItaly

Feyenoord and Como could hardly have begun their Champions League campaigns more differently. The Rotterdam side failed the test of an away trip to Barcelona, losing heavily by 1:5. For Como, the competition opened with a spectacular home win over RB Leipzig — 4:1. Feyenoord come into the head-to-head with real confidence: they have been tearing Eredivisie opponents apart and are not remotely afraid of facing Serie A sides, of whom only Inter have managed to beat them recently.

Como, after the break, produced a serious league performance against Roma (0:0). Given the circumstances — their opponents went down to ten men — the Lakesiders could have taken all three points at home had they been a little sharper around the goal. On balance, though, it was another plus for Cesc Fabregas‘ team. Como travel to Rotterdam as slight favourites and can justify that tag, because they enjoy playing against open opponents.

Oleksandr Vaskov - Sports Data Manager

But I suspect that in this case a high-scoring draw is all but inevitable.

Prediction: Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals at odds of 1.62

Aston Villa vs Fenerbahce Betting Tips

15:00Finished14.10.2026
6Aston VillaEngland
0FenerbahceTurkey

Both teams arrive at this meeting in good form and good spirits. They have handled their recent matches well, collecting a run of wins in which they scored plenty of goals. On top of that, both started the Champions League well: the English side with an away victory, while the Turkish club took a point against Roma.

Aston Villa, after a poor start to the season, have begun picking up points in recent rounds thanks to bright and productive attacking football. They do not rely on a single scorer — any of their forward players can get on the scoresheet. On paper, the visitors’ squad looks no worse, and arguably even more star-studded, than that of the hosts. But you should not forget the collective experience of the reigning Europa League winners, nor Unai Emery‘s know-how in Europe. On those counts, the Turkish side find it hard to compete with their opponents.

Oleksandr Vaskov - Sports Data Manager

I expect the experience and team quality of the English side to see them beat the star-filled Turks in a high-scoring game.

Prediction: Aston Villa to win at odds of 1.63

Roma vs Real Madrid Odds & Pick

15:00Finished14.10.2026
3RomaItaly

Roma are unbeaten after six rounds in Serie A — although the last two matches both ended in draws, against a strong Inter (2:2) and Como (0:0). In the latter, the Giallorossi created a string of dangerous moments in the first half, with Paulo Dybala hitting the post, but Donyell Malen‘s sending-off early in the second half completely wrecked the plan. Down to ten men, the Romans had to spend the rest of the game defending deep, where goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini was excellent. In the Champions League they also opened with a draw against Fenerbahce (1:1), though on the balance of play that was a positive result for Gasperini‘s men, since the Turkish club looked far sharper.

Real Madrid edged past Villarreal (1:0) in their latest La Liga round, but it is hard to call that performance convincing. Los Blancos looked flat in the first half, and Jan Diomande‘s only goal — his debut strike — eased the tension only in the second period. The loud controversy around Vinicius Junior‘s red card and reports of an unhealthy dressing-room atmosphere point to significant internal tension. In the Champions League, the side of The Special One Jose Mourinho started successfully by beating Inter (2:1), which leaves Madrid feeling far more comfortable in the overall table.

Oleksii Svyrydov - TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert

Despite their squad depth and favourite’s status, the Spanish giants will find things extremely awkward at the Stadio Olimpico. Roma know how to shut up shop properly and endure pressure, while the constant scandals and conflicts in the Madrid camp could stop them producing a complete performance.

Prediction: Real Madrid to win by 1 goal or draw — odds of 2.05

Shakhtar Donetsk vs AEK Athens Preview

15:00Finished14.10.2026

Shakhtar Donetsk recently claimed a comfortable win on the scoreboard over Veres (3:0) in the Ukrainian Premier League, yet the start of that game was genuinely alarming. For the opening 20 minutes Arda Turan‘s players made crude errors under pressing in their own third, allowing their opponents to break clear one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The game turned in Shakhtar’s favour after a sending-off for the visitors and thanks to the individual quality of the Brazilian attackers. Overall the team are in good shape, having won five convincing matches in a row across all competitions, and in matchday one the Miners earned an important away draw (1:1) against PSV.

AEK Athens approach this nominal away game at Stamford Bridge in excellent mood after a persuasive win over OFI Crete (3:0) in the Greek championship. Marko Nikolic‘s side controlled the flow of that game completely, scoring three through defenders Relvas and Moukoudi plus midfielder Gacinovic. The Greek club have 14 points and have climbed to second domestically, one point behind Panathinaikos after six rounds, while in the Champions League they began with a narrow home win over LASK (1:0).

Oleksii Svyrydov - TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert

Both teams are playing superbly in their domestic leagues and come into this one with roughly equal chances, as the odds indicate. In an even scenario, individual quality becomes decisive, and I rate Shakhtar’s players higher in that department. I do not expect a goal-fest, and the hosts should at the very least avoid defeat.

Prediction: Shakhtar not to lose (1X) & under 4.5 goals — odds of 1.65

Bodo/Glimt vs Borussia Dortmund Match Tips

15:00Finished14.10.2026

At the Aspmyra Stadion, matchday two of the Champions League brings Bodo/Glimt and Borussia Dortmund together for the second year running. Last season’s meeting ended in a hard-fought draw (2:2) in Dortmund. Can the two sides repeat that goal feast?

The opening round of the most prestigious club tournament went badly for last season’s debutants and genuine surprise package — a crushing away defeat (0:5) to Bayern Munich. A game against another Bundesliga representative is a fine chance to make amends, especially with the platform of a superb home run behind them. Last season’s wins over Manchester City (3:1), Inter (3:1) and Sporting (3:0), plus this season’s qualifying successes against Royale Union (3:2) and NEC Nijmegen (3:0), have the fans in a positive frame of mind.

Borussia, after losing the German Super Cup, won every subsequent match before the international break and led the league outright. But the first fixture after the break was less successful — a 2:2 draw with Werder Bremen, with a two-goal lead surrendered in the closing stages. That kind of lapse in concentration late in games usually comes at a high price over a season.

Oleksandr Halian - Sports Data Manager

Aspmyra is a genuine fortress for Glimt — Kjetil Knutsen‘s men have won 10 matches in a row there across all competitions. It was here, in a small town in the north, that European football’s heavyweights were beaten last season. It is not a given that the same will happen in this match, but the hosts will show their traditional character. What is more, it is doubtful that Borussia will have recovered so quickly from a deeply unpleasant loss of points. Goals at both ends and an extension of the hosts’ unbeaten run looks worth attention.

Prediction: Bodo/Glimt not to lose (1X) & both teams to score — 2.31

Real Betis vs Porto Prediction

15:00Finished14.10.2026
2PortoPortugal

At the Estadio de La Cartuja, Real Betis host a formidable Portuguese giant.

Interestingly, both teams have suffered just one defeat each since the start of the season — Betis lost to Levante (2:5), while Porto came unstuck precisely in the Champions League against Manchester City (0:2). The green-and-whites have won seven and drawn one of their remaining matches, while the Dragons have won nine.

It is notable that the last time the Beticos lost at home it was to a Portuguese club — a 2:4 defeat by Braga in last season’s Europa League quarter-final. Despite home advantage, Manuel Pellegrini‘s side had a day less rest, which is an important nuance in a tournament at this level.

Oleksandr Halian - Sports Data Manager

I expect a cautious game with few goals, in which the experience of the home coach tells through a narrow win or a draw. Both teams know how to play for the result in high-stakes European ties.

Prediction: Betis to win by 1 goal or draw — 1.92

Across the six selections the prices run from 1.62 on the Rotterdam goal line to 2.31 on the double chance plus both teams to score in the north of Norway, with four of the six priced under 2.10. That spread makes this a set built on tight margins rather than big upsets, and a free bet calculator is the quickest way to work out what these selections would return on your own stake sizes.
