Six Champions League ties land on 13 October, and there is a selection on every one of them. The prices run from 1.61 at the short end to 2.29 at the long end, and an odds converter will translate those figures into fractional or American formats if that suits you better. TipsGG publishes free football predictions with pre-match odds for the Champions League, and these football betting tips come from three named analysts: Sports Data Managers Oleksandr Halian and Oleksandr Vaskov, plus TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert Oleksii Svyrydov. Four of the six calls involve a goals market, which hints at how open the editors expect these fixtures to be, while two of the home sides are still chasing their first point of the campaign and can hardly afford another slip in front of their own crowd. Two alternative selections sit alongside the main picks for anyone who prefers a different angle.

Lens vs Sporting Prediction
The Stade Felix Bollaert hosts a Champions League group stage meeting between two sides that opened their European campaign well, both coming from eye-catching comeback wins in the first round.
Lens are going through a difficult spell. Despite a 2:1 league win over Lyon and a reasonable start under the previous coaching set-up led by Dino Toppmoller (three wins, one draw and two defeats), the club has run into a management crisis and internal disputes between the board and the German coach. With unexpected personnel decisions and the departure of the man who had beaten PSG — France’s strongest club of recent years — at the start of the season, Lens are now forced to rebuild on the move, which is hardly likely to help their results.
Sporting arrive in France after a confident away win at Braga (3:1) in the Portuguese championship. Under Rui Borges the Lisbon Lions are playing high-scoring football that brings results — they are unbeaten since the start of the season across nine straight matches, winning six of them. Despite certain defensive problems (only two clean sheets in nine games), the Portuguese side’s attacking potential remains extremely high.
I expect an entertaining meeting between two ambitious teams that both have issues at the back but are capable of creating chances going forward. Given the hosts’ staffing changes in mid-season and the visitors’ own excellent form, it is the Lisbon side who look like the favourites here.
Prediction: Sporting not to lose (X2) & both teams to score (Yes) — 2.14
Sabah Baku vs Slavia Prague Betting Tips
At the Olympic Stadium in Baku, a Champions League debutant who had a poor first ever outing in the most prestigious club tournament — a 0:4 loss to Manchester United — welcomes Slavia, who also had a disappointing opening round, leading the game before throwing away the win in the final seconds.
Both teams play in leagues outside the top 10, and simply reaching the Champions League is already a major achievement for both clubs. Recent seasons, though, have taught us that it is sometimes exactly a team like this that springs a surprise, in the manner of Qarabag or Bodo/Glimt.
Like the Prague side, the Baku club has not lost a domestic match since those first-round European defeats. As for Sabah, one detail stands out: having begun their journey in the first qualifying round, the Owls have won every single home game on the European stage, usually holding the advantage throughout.
Slavia, that European match aside, have not tasted defeat since the start of the season (nine wins, two draws and one defeat). However, last season the Prague side were one of the worst travellers in the league phase — just one point collected along with three heavy defeats, one of them against a team of similar standing in Pafos (1:4).
In a meeting between two roughly equal teams it is hard to single out a favourite. On one side there is the fierce home support in Baku and a convincing record at home, on the other a Slavia side with more European experience. I believe Sabah are capable of extending their unbeaten home run in a cautious game. As an alternative, it is also worth looking at corners in this match, a market both teams tend to feed.
Prediction: Sabah Baku not to lose (1X) & under 4.5 goals — 2.07
Alternative prediction: Over 9.5 total corners — 1.85
Arsenal vs Lille Odds & Pick
Arsenal have slowed down slightly in the league — after an unexpected heavy defeat by Brighton, the Gunners needed real effort to see off Leeds, having trailed during the game. The squad has few absentees at the moment: besides William Saliba, who has been out for some time, Christos Tzolis and Piero Hincapie are injured. Bruno Guimaraes, who scored the winner last time out, should start. Arsenal last dropped points at home six months ago and have conceded only two goals in their last seven home matches.
Lille are performing well domestically — four clean-sheet wins and a draw with PSG — but began the Champions League with a home defeat by Betis. Ethan Mbappe and Tiago Santos are unavailable, and several first-choice players were rested against Le Havre. Lille have scored in every match under Davide Ancelotti.
I suspect he will manage that again here, but the hosts are far stronger.
Prediction: Both teams to score & Arsenal not to lose — 2.29
Galatasaray vs Barcelona Preview
Galatasaray have looked unconvincing in the first part of the season. Although they lead the Turkish Super Lig as usual, the gap to second place is currently minimal. Seven rounds in, we have already seen two setbacks — including a surprise 0:4 away loss at Trabzonspor. On several other occasions the team snatched victory late on with great effort. Their Champions League debut was not impressive either: Galatasaray lost 1:3 away to Sporting.
There have been no home defeats yet, but on Tuesday they must stop an unstoppable Barcelona. Flick‘s side have won all nine of their opening matches this season, consistently winning by a two-goal margin. The Catalans are far from always keeping clean sheets, but that fades into the background given their staggering output — they average a record 4.33 goals per 90 minutes.
Even if Raphinha is again missing in Istanbul, Barcelona will surely extend their winning run without the Brazilian.
Prediction: Both teams to score & Barcelona to win — 1.96
Atletico Madrid vs Manchester United Match Tips
Atletico Madrid come into this European night after a hard but important 2:1 win over Alaves in La Liga. Diego Simeone‘s men were far more convincing than their opponents, holding 68% possession and firing off 22 shots. After Angel Perez was sent off the pressure from Los Colchoneros grew, and the late winner came from a Cristian Romero header following a superb cross from Alex Baena. Their Champions League start, however, went badly — a 1:2 defeat by Liverpool — so Atletico have zero points so far and will have to take the initiative, especially at home at the Metropolitano.
Manchester United are in a prolonged domestic slump, without a win in five matches running. In the latest Premier League round, Michael Carrick‘s side let victory slip in the final seconds against Tottenham (1:1). Handed a numerical advantage after Bentancur‘s dismissal, the Red Devils were far too passive and sat back on their own goal, allowing their opponents to level in the 90+2nd minute. Despite their Premier League problems, United started convincingly in the Champions League, thrashing Sabah 4:0.
Even though the Red Devils have traditionally played decently against Atletico, it is impossible to ignore their frankly dreadful form. A struggling Tottenham side tore United apart on their own ground for the first 45 minutes, and then rescued the game while a man down. In my view, Los Colchoneros should be taking this one comfortably.
Main prediction: Atletico Madrid to win — 1.94
Alternative prediction: Atletico Madrid over 1.5 goals — 1.64
Villarreal vs Napoli Prediction
Villarreal are looking to make amends for their opening group stage defeat by Borussia Dortmund (2:3). Domestically, the Yellow Submarine recently lost narrowly to Real Madrid (0:1), putting in a worthy display and fighting for points until the final minute. The team traditionally serves up entertaining matches early in the season: across the first eight La Liga rounds, Villarreal’s games have averaged 3.25 goals. And although the start has not been the best (8 points and currently 11th in the Spanish top flight), it is worth remembering that this same open, attacking style carried the Yellow Submarine to third place last season.
Napoli, after an uncertain start in Serie A, have begun showing signs of recovery: last round the Neapolitans comfortably beat Frosinone 3:0. Massimiliano Allegri switched to a new tactical shape with three central defenders after the international break, and Kevin De Bruyne struck a brilliant brace. In the Champions League, though, the Partenopei opened with a narrow 0:1 loss to Arsenal, a game in which the Gunners could have scored many more and the Italian club was thoroughly outclassed on its own pitch.
In my opinion, we are in for a high-scoring contest. Even though Napoli represent Serie A, where teams have historically been inclined to build from a defensive base, the Partenopei show the opposite in their matches, playing aggressively through the strengths of their midfield and attacking unit. For the Yellow Submarine that kind of game is standard, and the Real Madrid match was more the exception than the rule. I expect at least three goals.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals — 1.61
Across the six main selections the pricing is remarkably even, stretching only from 1.61 on the goals line in Villarreal’s tie to 2.29 on the double at the Emirates, with two alternative markets at 1.85 and 1.64 for anyone who wants a different route in. A free bet calculator is the quickest way to work out what these selections would return singly or combined. Four of the six calls lean on goals, so the shape of the round will be decided by whether these defences hold up.
